【摘要】：本文是一篇翻译实践报告。翻译项目的原文选自《剑桥奇幻文学指南》的第五章,其主要内容是介绍了20世纪奇幻领域最为重要的两个人物,托尔金和刘易斯,包括他们对奇幻领域的贡献以及他们的成名作品和主要思想等,除此之外本章还介绍了两人之后现代奇幻小说的发展情况。本文一共包括四个部分,第一部分是对翻译实践报告进行总体的介绍,包括报告的背景、意义、结构。第二部分是对翻译材料即选文的介绍,包括选文的作者主要内容和翻译理论。第三部分是翻译过程中遇到的难点以及其解决办法,还有翻译中所用的方法策略。翻译难点包括原文中出现的作品背景知识欠缺,以及对英语中“一词多义”现象的理解以及长难句的处理。所用的翻译方法有直译,意译和词性转换等。第四部分是对整篇报告的总结,包括翻译过程中得到的启发,教训以及有待解决的问题。
[Abstract]:This paper is a translation practice report. The original text of the translation project is selected from Chapter 5th of Cambridge Illusion Literature Guide. Its main content is to introduce the two most important figures in the field of fantasy in 20th century, Tolkien and Lewis. It includes their contributions to the field of fantasy, their famous works and their main ideas. In addition, this chapter also introduces the development of modern fantasy novels after the two men. The first part is a general introduction to the translation practice report, including the background, significance and structure of the report. The third part deals with the difficulties encountered in the process of translation and their solutions, as well as the methodological strategies used in translation. The translation difficulties include the lack of background knowledge of the works in the original text. As well as the understanding of the phenomenon of polysemy in English and the treatment of long difficult sentences. The translation methods used are literal translation, free translation and part of speech conversion. Part 4th is a summary of the whole report, including the inspiration gained in the process of translation. Lessons and problems to be solved.
