“Nature”“Science”两词的译介与中国社会人与自然关系之重构

【摘要】：人与自然的关系是目前生态研究中的核心问题。由于地理位置、文化传统、经济模式等因素的影响,中西方传统在人与自然关系的建构方面存在根本差异。大体而言,西方倡导"天人两分",中国崇尚"天人合一"。但自19世纪下半叶开始,随着"中体西用"等对外交流战略的实施,中国不断学习、吸收西方的机械论自然观,这种自我西化特别鲜明地表现为:主动译介"Nature""Science"这两个最能代表当时西方自然观特征的概念。文章基于中西传统自然观的对比,深入探究这两个西方概念是如何在中国生根发芽,并革命性地颠覆曾主宰中国社会几千年的"天人合一"的自然观。对该问题的探讨有助于了解翻译对中国社会人与自然关系重构的影响。
[Abstract]:The relationship between man and nature is the core problem in ecological research.Due to the influence of geographical location, cultural tradition and economic model, there are fundamental differences in the construction of the relationship between man and nature between China and the West.Generally speaking, the West advocates "Heaven and Man two points", China advocates "Heaven and Man in one".However, since the second half of the 19th century, with the implementation of foreign exchange strategies such as "the use of the Chinese body and the West", China has continued to learn and absorb the western mechanistic view of nature.This self-westernization is characterized by the following two concepts: "Nature" and "Science", which best represent the characteristics of the western view of nature at that time.Based on the comparison of Chinese and Western traditional views of nature, this paper probes into how these two western concepts take root in China and revolutionize the concept of "the unity of nature and man", which has dominated Chinese society for thousands of years.This study is helpful to understand the impact of translation on the reconstruction of the relationship between man and nature in Chinese society.
