【摘要】：游记作为重要的旅游文本之一,蕴含着丰富的个人情感、大量的旅游信息和文化信息。因此,游记的翻译是丰富精神世界、促进旅游业发展和文化交流的重要途径。本文以纽马克文本类型理论为基础,主要探讨了游记翻译原则和具体的翻译方法。本文为游记翻译实践报告,所选文本为慕雅德(Arthur Evans Moule,1836～1918)所著的 New China and Old:Personal Recollections and Observations of Thirty Years《新旧中国——三十年的个人回忆和观察》一书中的第七章和第八章,这两章主要讲述的是作者对中国宗教、迷信和风水的探究。慕雅德以对中国30年的观察,向西方读者呈现了他对晚清中国的认识,虽不乏个人偏见,却促进了西方对中国的了解。一般来说,游记一方面带有作者的主观性,但另一方面,它又包含大量的客观性描写内容。本报告以纽马克文本类型理论为指导,分析得出游记属于表达型和信息型混合文本。因此游记翻译应综合运用纽马克提出的两种翻译策略,即语义翻译和交际翻译。本报告结合实例,从词汇、句子两大方面阐述了游记的具体翻译方法,即音译,直译,释译法,分译法,增译法,改写法和转换法。本篇翻译实践报告分析了游记的文本类型及语言特点,总结了游记翻译中的难点,提出了相应的翻译策略和方法,希望能为以后的游记翻译提供借鉴和指导。
[Abstract]:As one of the important tourist texts, travel notes contain rich personal feelings, a great deal of tourism information and cultural information.Therefore, the translation of travel notes is an important way to enrich the spiritual world and promote tourism development and cultural exchange.Based on Newmark's theory of text types, this paper mainly discusses the principles and methods of translation of travel notes.This paper is a practical report on the translation of travels. The selected text is New China and Old:Personal Recollections and Observations of Thirty Years, A Thirty years' personal memory and observation of New and Old China.These two chapters are mainly about the author's research on Chinese religion, superstition and feng shui.By observing China for 30 years, Muyad presented his understanding of China in the late Qing Dynasty to the western readers. Although there was no lack of personal prejudice, it promoted the understanding of China in the West.Generally speaking, on the one hand, travel notes are subjective, but on the other hand, they contain a lot of objective descriptions.Guided by Newmark's text type theory, this paper analyses that travel notes belong to the mixed text of expression and information.Therefore, travel book translation should make use of two translation strategies proposed by Newmark, namely semantic translation and communicative translation.Combined with examples, this paper expounds the specific translation methods of travel notes from two aspects: transliteration, literal translation, interpretation method, sub-translation method, incremental translation method, rewriting method and conversion method.This translation practice report analyzes the text types and language characteristics of travel notes, summarizes the difficulties in the translation of travel notes, and puts forward corresponding translation strategies and methods, in the hope of providing reference and guidance for future travel book translation.
