19世纪英译《三国演义》资料辑佚与研究——以德庇时《三国志节译文》为中心

【摘要】：第二任香港总督德庇时,是19世纪第一位向英语世界系统介绍中国诗词、小说和戏曲的英国汉学家。作为外交家和政治家的他声名狼藉,颇富争议;作为文学翻译家和文化传播者,他却成就卓著,颇获嘉赏。德庇时对于《三国演义》的译介一直是学术界扑朔迷离的话题,本文在第一手英文资料辑佚的基础上,围绕他的译文《三国志节译文》,从文本细读、比较分析及影响研究的角度作了深入探讨。《三国志节译文》作为中英文合印《三国演义》的第一次尝试,不仅是《三国演义》英译史上的重要一环,在研究中英文化的早期接触方面也是一个难得的个案。
[Abstract]:The second Governor of Hong Kong, John Francis Davis, was the first English sinologist to introduce Chinese poetry, novels and operas to the English world in the 19 th century. As a diplomat and statesman, he was infamous and controversial, but as a literary translator and a cultural communicator, he was well-known for his achievements. John Francis Davis's translation of the Romance of the three Kingdoms has always been a complicated and confusing topic in academic circles. As the first attempt of the Chinese-English co-printing of the Romance of the three Kingdoms, it is not only an important link in the English translation of the Romance of the three Kingdoms, but also an important part in the history of the translation of the Romance of the three Kingdoms. It is also a rare case to study the early contact between Chinese and British culture.
