【摘要】：本文是一篇翻译报告,翻译文本节选自亨利詹姆士的《波士顿人》(The Bostonians)。在导师的精心指导下,作者完成了本书第七章至第十一章的翻译工作。美国著名的翻译家和语言学家尤金奈达从语言学的角度,结合自己丰富的翻译经验提出功能对等理论。该理论于80年代传入中国,引起巨大反响。功能对等理论是科学的翻译理论,与国内"信达雅"和"传神"的翻译思想不同,但又有异曲同工之妙。该理论强调译文与原文要达到功能上对等,在词汇、语法、语义、语篇和文化语境方面要用最自然的对等语再现原文。该理论注重读者反映,要求译文读者对译文的反应与原文读者对原文的反应基本一致。该理论开辟了翻译理论的新天地。
[Abstract]:This is a translation report excerpted from Henry James's the Bostoniansan. Under the guidance of his tutor, the author has completed the translation of chapters 7 to 11 of the book. Eugene Nida, a famous American translator and linguist, puts forward the functional equivalence theory from the perspective of linguistics and his rich translation experience. The theory was introduced into China in the 1980's, causing a huge response. The theory of functional equivalence is a scientific translation theory, which is different from the domestic translation thoughts of "Cinda elegance" and "vivid expression", but it has the same work. This theory emphasizes that the target text and the original text should be functionally equivalent, and the original text should be reproduced with the most natural equivalents in terms of vocabulary, grammar, semantics, discourse and cultural context. This theory focuses on readers' reflection and requires that the readers' response to the original text is basically consistent with that of the original text. This theory has opened up a new world of translation theory.
