包腊《红楼梦》前八回英译本“序言”中译及研究

【摘要】：本文对包腊《红楼梦》前八回英译本"序言"做出中文翻译及研究。包腊译本"序言"成文时间较早,内容亦非常典型地体现出19世纪欧洲对于《红楼梦》以及中国文化传统的"东方主义"式想象。该序言对于《红楼梦》英译研究和海外汉学研究都具有文献价值。本文首先厘清序言的基本情况,然后将"序言"翻译成中文,最后对序言中存在的中西文化误读做出学术探讨。
[Abstract]:This paper makes a Chinese translation and research on the foreword of the first eight English versions of Bao La's A Dream of Red Mansions. The preface of Baolai's translation was written earlier, and the content of the preface is also a typical reflection of the "oriental" imagination of the Dream of the Red Mansions and the Chinese cultural tradition in Europe in the 19th century. The preface is of great value for both English translation and overseas Sinology studies in A Dream of Red Mansions. This paper first clarifies the basic situation of the preface, then translates the preface into Chinese, and finally makes an academic discussion on the misreading of Chinese and western cultures in the preface.
