基于有声数据库方法的口译言误对认知障碍的映射

【摘要】:巴斯曼认为言误是对原说话意图的明显偏离。而翻译言误是指交替传译和同声传译中的言语错误。心理语言学对言误进行了许多阐释,但较少涉及翻译言误。至于翻译言误的原因,关注点大多放在翻译技巧、策略和语言流畅度上面,很少关注认知。本论文为了研究翻译言误的原因进行如下猜想1)翻译言误能够映射译员的认知障碍。2)专业译员的认知掌控力优于学生译员,旨在发现翻译言误和认知之间的联系。为了检验这些猜想,本研究首先建立了媒体数据库(包括43位参赛选手和8位专业译员8.2小时的表现,数据大小共4G),数据库内容主要是交替传译和同声传译。数据库按照言语错误和认知映射两栏分类编纂。前者按照语法、句法、词法、语音和连贯性分类,后者把吉尔的精力模型和M模型相结合进行分类。根据数据统计结果可知,数据库中包含90多篇文章,22种错误分类方式,找出492个错误。继而通过引入四种认知障碍,对交替传译和同声传译表现进行对比。接下来把专业译员和学生译员的翻译言误进行对比。通过分析数据库,我们发现翻译言误不会影响整体翻译效果,但会延迟、中断或误导译员翻译。最后,本文得到两个结论:1)口译言误能够映射认知障碍。2)专业译员认知掌控力优于学生译员,但由于认知障碍的客观存在,专业译员和学生译员存在同样的言语错误。媒体数据库研究在某种程度上验证了这两个假设。但还有些问题没有解决,例如为什么专业译员受认知障碍影响小于学生译员,怎样才能减小认知障碍对学生译员的负面影响。总而言之,翻译言误能在以下这些方面映射认知障碍:思维、感知、记忆和注意力而且专业译员在处理认知障碍。这些发现将使译员受益,提高他们在翻译训练过程中的认知意识。
[Abstract]:Barsman believes that the misstatement is a clear deviation from the original intention of the speech. Translation errors refer to verbal errors in consecutive and simultaneous interpretation. Psycholinguistics makes many interpretations of verbal errors, but seldom involves translation errors. As for the causes of translation errors, the focus is mostly on translation skills, strategies and language fluency, with little attention to cognition. In order to study the causes of translation errors, this thesis conjectures as follows: 1) Translation errors can map the cognitive handicaps of interpreters. 2) the cognitive control of professional interpreters is superior to that of student interpreters. The aim of this study is to find out the relationship between translation errors and cognition. In order to test these conjectures, a media database (including the performance of 43 contestants and 8 professional interpreters for 8.2 hours) was established in this study. The data size of the database was 4G / L, which was mainly composed of consecutive interpretation and simultaneous interpretation. The database is compiled according to language errors and cognitive mapping columns. The former is classified according to grammar, syntax, lexical, phonetics and coherence, while the latter combines Gill's energy model with M model. According to the statistical results, the database contains more than 90 articles and 22 kinds of error classification methods, and 492 errors are found. Then, four cognitive disorders were introduced to compare the performance of consecutive interpretation and simultaneous interpretation. Then we compare the translation errors between the professional interpreter and the student interpreter. By analyzing the database, we find that the translation error will not affect the overall translation effect, but will delay, interrupt or mislead the translator. Finally, this paper draws two conclusions: (1) misinterpretation can map cognitive impairment. 2) the cognitive control of professional interpreters is better than that of student interpreters, but due to the objective existence of cognitive barriers, professional interpreters and student interpreters have the same speech errors. The study of media database verifies these two hypotheses to some extent. However, there are still some unsolved problems, such as why professional interpreters are less affected by cognitive impairment than student interpreters, and how to reduce the negative effects of cognitive impairment on student interpreters. All in all, translation errors can map cognitive impairment in the following areas: thinking, perception, memory and attention, and professional interpreters are dealing with cognitive impairment. These findings will benefit interpreters and enhance their cognitive awareness during translation training.
