中国学生英语代词指称理解的实证研究

【摘要】:本文旨在对中国学生英语时间状语从句中的第三人称代词指称理解进行实证研究。通过图片选择和语用诱导测试,要求受试选择自己认为与句子意义吻合的图片,再用SPSS 17.0统计软件,从代词指称偏好结果对句法和语用制约情况进行考察。结果表明:1)初级英语学习者理解代词时未表现出方向偏好特征,但中高级水平学习者有选择代词前指倾向,符合英语代词前指偏好原则;2)中国学生对C原则未表现出明显的制约效应;3)初级组代词理解不受语用诱导句影响,而中高级组受语用诱导影响较大。文章对上述发现进行了解释。
[Abstract]:The purpose of this paper is to make an empirical study of the third person pronoun reference in English time adverbial clauses of Chinese students. By means of picture selection and pragmatic induction tests, the subjects were asked to choose pictures that they considered to be consistent with the meaning of the sentence. Then the syntactic and pragmatic constraints were investigated by using SPSS 17.0 statistical software. The results of pronoun reference preference were used to investigate the syntactic and pragmatic constraints. The results show that: 1) Primary English learners do not show directional preference when they understand pronouns, but middle and advanced level learners have the tendency to choose anaphora of pronouns. In accordance with English pronoun antecedent preference principle (2) Chinese students have no obvious restrictive effect on principle C) the primary group pronoun comprehension is not affected by pragmatic induced sentences, but the middle and senior group is strongly influenced by pragmatic inducement. The above findings are explained in this paper.
