【摘要】:本报告是作者在翻译Lucy Green所编著的《音乐、非传统学习及学校:一种全新的课堂教学法》(Music,Informal Learning and the School:A New Classroom Pedagogy)一书中部分章节的实践基础上写成的。作者从中节选一个章节从态度意义对等的角度进行分析。本报告的理论基础是系统功能语言学,该理论由三大元功能组成:概念功能、人际功能和语篇功能。翻译必须要实现这三方面的对等。语言使用者通过语言的人际功能来建立和维护人际关系,揭示人际关系的亲疏远近。James Martin在20世纪90年代初在系统功能语言学的基础上提出了评价理论。评价理论是系统功能语法所倡导的三大语言功能之一的人际功能的延伸理论,是人际功能的重要部分。评价作为翻译的标准关注原文作者的各种态度、情感强度、价值观念等是否在译文中忠实再现。态度作为评价理论的核心,通过情感反应和价值体系对交际参与者和过程进行评价。本文分析了节选部分中英文本中的态度意义,列举其所属分类下的典型案例来分析说明实现态度意义对等的策略及其作用。对于态度意义的翻译并不代表形式上的死板对等,而是需要根据语境和文化差异进行灵活转化。态度意义的对等能够确保目标语的语篇真实表达原作者的态度,真正实现源语作者与目标语读者的联盟。本报告共分为五部分。第一部分简要介绍报告的背景和意义;第二部分包括项目介绍、译前准备、翻译过程以及翻译中的难点;第三部分介绍态度意义理论及其在翻译中的应用;第四部分是案例分析,列举具有不同态度意义的典型案例,并从态度意义对等的角度加以分析;本报告最后一部分是对整个翻译实践的总结,包括主要发现、不足以及对未来研究的建议。
[Abstract]:The present report is based on the practice of translating some chapters of the book "Music, Non-traditional Learning and Schools: a New classroom approach" by Lucy Green. The author extracts a chapter from the angle of attitude meaning equivalence to analyze. The theoretical basis of this report is systemic functional linguistics, which consists of three metafunctions: conceptual function, interpersonal function and textual function. Translation must realize the equivalence of these three aspects. Language users establish and maintain interpersonal relationships through the interpersonal functions of language, and reveal that interpersonal relationships are close to each other. James Martin put forward an evaluation theory on the basis of systemic functional linguistics in the early 1990s. Evaluation theory is an extension theory of interpersonal function which is one of the three major language functions advocated by systemic functional Grammar. It is an important part of interpersonal function. Evaluation, as the criterion of translation, concerns whether the author's attitudes, emotional intensity and values are faithfully reproduced in the target text. As the core of evaluation theory, attitude evaluates the participants and processes of communication through emotional reaction and value system. This paper analyzes the attitude meaning in the Chinese and English excerpts, and enumerates the typical cases under its classification to illustrate the strategy of realizing the equivalence of attitude meaning and its role. Translation of attitude meaning does not represent formal stereotype equivalence, but requires flexible transformation according to context and cultural differences. The equivalence of attitude meaning can ensure that the target text truly expresses the original author's attitude and realizes the alliance between the source author and the target language reader. The report is divided into five parts. The first part briefly introduces the background and significance of the report, the second part includes the project introduction, pre-translation preparation, translation process and translation difficulties, the third part introduces the theory of attitude meaning and its application in translation. The fourth part is a case study, which enumerates typical cases with different attitude meanings and analyzes them from the perspective of equivalence of attitude meaning. The last part of this report is a summary of the whole translation practice, including the main findings. Deficiencies and suggestions for future research.
