纪录片《我从汉朝来》（节选）字幕英译研究

【摘要】：本文为一篇中译英纪录片字幕翻译实践报告,所描述的笔译任务为中央电视台纪录频道的纪录片《我从汉朝来》的字幕翻译项目,重点选取了该片前三集的字幕内容作为本文的案例分析对象,结合字幕自身的特点来分析中译英过程中可能遇到的各种问题,并针对这些问题探讨相应的翻译策略和解决办法。在回顾任务过程时,报告将整个翻译过程分为“译前准备阶段”和“翻译阶段”,对翻译可能用到的参考资料和相关理论作了简要介绍,并对翻译中的难点以及如何保证译文质量进行了详细说明。在“案例分析”这一部分,报告紧紧围绕字幕“瞬时性”、“同时性”和“无注性”的特点,选取部分典型案例,得出其翻译需要用到删减法、改译法、切分法和顺句驱动等翻译策略。译文首先必须忠实于原文,在准确的基础上,要尽可能符合译入语的表达习惯,满足受众的语言审美需求。此外,在翻译文化负载词时,译者要从细微之处比较该词在两种文化中的异同,选择最恰当的翻译策略。汉语高语境的特点要求译者要做到选词恰当,采用增补和改译等翻译方法。通过对任务的描述和案例分析,报告得出以下总结:1.译前准备工作对翻译任务的顺利完成有着十分重要的影响;2.译者要结合字幕本身的特点,在认真分析原文内容的基础上,有针对性地采取相应的翻译策略;3.在翻译文化负载词时,译者要查找多方面的权威资料,结合图片信息,弄清楚译入语中所谓“对等词”与原文的相异之处,同时,还需要分析“对等词”中的细微差别,只有这样,译者才能做到对原文的忠实。
[Abstract]:This paper is a practical report on subtitle translation from Chinese to English documentaries. The translation task described in this paper is the subtitle translation project of CCTV documentary "I came from the Han Dynasty". This paper focuses on the subtitle content of the first three episodes of the film as the case study object, analyzes the various problems that may be encountered in the process of translating Chinese and English according to the characteristics of the subtitle itself, and probes into the corresponding translation strategies and solutions to these problems. In reviewing the task process, the report divides the whole process into "pre-translation preparation stage" and "translation phase", and gives a brief introduction to the reference materials and relevant theories that may be used in translation. The difficulties in translation and how to ensure the quality of translation are explained in detail. In the part of "case Analysis", the report focuses on the characteristics of "instantaneous", "simultaneous" and "non-annotated" of subtitles. Some typical cases are selected, and it is concluded that the method of deletion and translation should be used in translation. Translation strategies such as segmentation and sentence-driven translation. First of all, the translation must be faithful to the original text. On the basis of accuracy, it should conform to the target language expression habits as far as possible and meet the aesthetic needs of the audience. In addition, in translating culture-loaded words, the translator should compare the similarities and differences of culture-loaded words in detail and choose the most appropriate translation strategies. The characteristics of Chinese high context require the translator to choose words properly and to use supplementary and modified translation methods. Through the description of the task and case analysis, the report draws the following summary: 1. Pre-translation preparation has a very important impact on the successful completion of translation tasks. On the basis of careful analysis of the content of the original text, the translator should adopt corresponding translation strategies according to the characteristics of the subtitles. When translating culture-loaded words, the translator should look for a variety of authoritative materials and combine the picture information to find out the differences between the so-called "equivalents" in the target language and the original text. At the same time, it is necessary to analyze the nuances of the "equivalents". Only in this way can the translator be faithful to the original text.
