基于语料库的中国英语专业大学生口语套语使用研究

【摘要】:近年来,语块研究越来越受到学者们的关注,人们认为套语对语言习得具有重大影响。本研究基于语料库数据,探究中国英语专业大学生和英国本族语大学生在使用套语方面存在哪些差异。本文从中国大学英语学习者口语语料库(SWCCL)中提取2至6词的套语,参照英语本族语口语语料库(MICASE),对提取的套语做分析对比研究。首先,根据NattingerDecarrico(1992)的分类标准,将套语分为四类,即多元词、习俗语、短语架构语和句子构建语,对比分析中英大学生四种套语的使用情况;然后借鉴Biber et al.(2003)所做的功能分类,即:立场标记语,语篇组织序列和指称序列,对中英大学生套语功能的使用进行对比分析。研究结果表明:1)从分布情况上看,在中国英语专业学习者语料库(SECCL)和本族语语料库(MICASE)中,套语长度越大则数量越少,中国英语专业大学生2至6词的使用都多于本族语大学生;2)卡方检验显示中国英语专业大学生和英国本族语大学生在短语架构语、句子构建语和习俗语的使用上存在很大差异,而在多元词使用上差距不大;3)中国英语专业大学生已经习得了大量套语,但在使用上存在多用、少用、误用等问题。推究造成这种偏差可能的原因是母语的影响、交际策略能力,二语输入的缺乏和考试环境影响。
[Abstract]:In recent years, more and more scholars pay attention to the study of lexical chunks, which is believed to have a great influence on language acquisition. Based on corpus-based data, this study explores the differences between Chinese English majors and English native language students. In this paper, two to six words of Chinese college English learners' spoken language corpus (SWCCL) are extracted, and a comparative study is made by reference to the native spoken English corpus (MICASE),). Firstly, according to the classification standard of NattingerDecarrico (1992), we divide the expressions into four categories, I. e., poly-words, idioms, phrasal structures and sentence constructors, and then compare and analyze the usage of the four kinds of platitudes in Chinese and English college students, and then draw lessons from the functional classification done by Biber et al. (2003). That is, position markers, discourse organization sequences and referential sequences, the use of Chinese and English college students' functions of the comparative analysis. The results show that in terms of distribution, the larger the length of a Chinese English major, the smaller the number of the (SECCL) and (MICASE), the larger the length of the sentence, the smaller the number of the Chinese EFL learners' corpora, and the smaller the number of the Chinese EFL learners' corpora and the native language corpus (MICASE). Chinese English majors use 2 to 6 words more than their native speakers. Chi-square test shows that there are great differences between Chinese English majors and English native students in the use of phrase structure, sentence construction and customary language. However, Chinese English majors have learned a large number of stereotypes, but there are many problems in their use, such as multipurpose, less use, misuse and so on. The possible causes of this deviation are the influence of mother tongue, communicative strategy competence, lack of second language input and the influence of examination environment.
