关联理论指导下的医药专利翻译实践报告

【摘要】：专利是国家主管机关授予发明人或申请人的在一段时间内独占实施其发明创造的专有权利。随着国内经济的快速发展,中国与其他国家在科技领域的交流日益密切,知识产权的重要性也越来越得到关注和认可。对企业来说,专利技术以特有的技术创新性及独占性成为他们参与国际市场竞争的关键,企业为了扩大其知识产权保护范围,必须向其他国家申请专利保护。因此,专利翻译的作用举足轻重。本文以斯波伯(Sperber)和威尔逊(Wilson)的关联理论为依据,试图将关联理论运用于专利翻译。本文结合笔者在北京如文思科技信息咨询有限公司的专利翻译,特别是医药类专利翻译实习经历,选取了具有代表性的医药类专利进行翻译。为了提高医药类专利翻译的质量,本报告详细阐述了此次任务,任务目的,任务过程以及案例分析。在案例分析部分,根据关联理论的两条基本原则,即认知原则和交际原则,笔者认为在翻译专利的过程中,要从译文读者的角度出发,考虑读者的认知语境和期待,正确选择翻译方法,确保原文件信息的准确性和通顺性,从而为译文读者提供最佳语境效果。在词汇层面,要注意医药类专利中专业词汇、半专业词汇以及专利翻译领域的惯用表达的翻译;在句法层面,要注意语言的逻辑性以及采用合适的方法翻译长难句和被动句。笔者希望本篇报告所做的研究能够为专利翻译提供一定的借鉴和参考。
[Abstract]:A patent is an exclusive right granted by a national authority to an inventor or applicant to execute his invention for a period of time. With the rapid development of domestic economy, the exchange between China and other countries in the field of science and technology is getting closer and closer, and the importance of intellectual property has been paid more and more attention and recognition. For enterprises, patent technology has become the key to participate in the international market competition because of its unique technological innovation and exclusivity. In order to expand the scope of intellectual property protection, enterprises must apply for patent protection in other countries. Therefore, patent translation plays an important role. This paper attempts to apply the relevance theory to patent translation on the basis of the relevance theory proposed by Spob (Sperber) and Wilson (Wilson). Based on the author's patent translation experience in Beijing Ruvence Scientific and Technical Information Consulting Co., Ltd, this paper selects the representative pharmaceutical patent translation experience. In order to improve the quality of pharmaceutical patent translation, this report describes the mission, mission purpose, task process and case analysis. In the part of case analysis, according to the two basic principles of relevance theory, namely, cognitive principle and communicative principle, the author holds that in the process of patent translation, the reader's cognitive context and expectation should be considered from the perspective of the target reader. The correct selection of translation methods ensures the accuracy and smoothness of the original document information so as to provide the best contextual effect for the target readers. At the lexical level, we should pay attention to the translation of professional words, semi-professional words and the idiomatic expressions in the field of patent translation, and at the syntactic level, we should pay attention to the logic of language and the proper method of translating long difficult sentences and passive sentences. The author hopes that the research done in this paper can provide some reference for patent translation.
