目的论观照下的《华人故事》字幕翻译实践报告

【摘要】:全球化发展促进了中国与世界各国的文化交流和互动。本世纪初,我国提出了文化“走出去”战略,旨在传播中国文化。20世纪80年代开始实行改革开放政策以来,我国在经济发展,社会建设及文化建设等各方面都取得了快速进步和全面发展,但外部世界对我国的印象却依然停留在过去的面貌,与我国当前的现实状况大相径庭。因此,在全球化发展的大背景下,如何塑造中国的国家形象,如何展示璀璨的中华文明,如何体现中国的文化软实力,以及如何让世界更深入、更全面地了解中国,就成为我们必须面对且处理好的一项重要议题。在文化输出的过程中,翻译活动是一个重要的窗口,而影视节目字幕翻译,由于电视媒体受众极其广泛的特点,则更应该得到足够的重视。在本论文中,笔者尝试将目的论运用到访谈类纪录片《华人故事》的翻译中。论文以翻译实践报告的形式写作,共包含五章。第一章是任务描述,介绍了本研究的背景、意义,简介了本次翻译实践,说明了本论文的框架结构。第二章介绍本论文的理论框架,包含两个部分,第一部分简介目的论,回顾了德国功能主义翻译理论的四个发展阶段,目的论的三大核心原则以及“翻译纲要”、“源语文本分析”两个关键概念。第二部分是源自功能主义语言学理论的关于信息结构、句际衔接与语篇连贯的理论阐述。第三章介绍了任务过程,包括译前准备、翻译阶段和译后阶段三部分。在译前准备阶段,笔者首先复习回顾了字幕翻译的基本知识,如字幕翻译的定义、分类、功能和限制。笔者继而拟定了《华人故事》字幕翻译的翻译纲要,并对《华人故事》源语文本进行了文本分析。第四章从词、句、篇三个层面对《华人故事》进行了详尽的译例分析。首先提供了《华人故事》的翻译纲要并对《华人故事》的源语文本进行了文本分析,通过分析,可以发现《华人故事》的源语字幕语言十分口语化,赘词及不完整句多见,且说话人经常改变视角。其后,笔者依据目的论三原则提出了《华人故事》字幕翻译中所采用的十二条翻译策略,分别是:1.采用音译,传播中国文化;2.采用加注,增进观众理解;3.意译难词,增进观众理解;4.缩删赘词,突破时空限制;5.调整语序,符合表达习惯;6.进行改写,增强行文逻辑;7.进行改写,统一叙事视角;8.增补信息,改善篇内连贯;9.维系主语一致,实现篇内连贯;10.重组信息结构,改善句际衔接;11.利用平行文本,实现准确翻译;12.采用尾韵,保留审美价值。第五章是结语部分,总结了本研究的发现,指出了本研究的局限性,并对今后的相关研究提出了建议。
[Abstract]:The development of globalization has promoted the cultural exchange and interaction between China and the rest of the world. At the beginning of this century, China put forward the strategy of "going global" in order to spread Chinese culture. Since the implementation of the policy of reform and opening up in the 1980s, China has been developing its economy. Social construction and cultural construction have made rapid progress and all-round development, but the external world's impression of our country is still in the face of the past, which is quite different from the current reality of our country. Therefore, in the context of the development of globalization, how to shape China's national image, how to display the bright Chinese civilization, how to embody China's cultural soft power, and how to make the world more in-depth and more comprehensive understanding of China, It has become an important issue that we must face and deal with. In the process of cultural output, translation is an important window, and subtitle translation of film and television programs, due to the extremely wide audience characteristics of television media, should be paid more attention to. In this thesis, the author tries to apply Skopos Theory to the translation of interview documentary Chinese Story. The thesis is written in the form of translation practice report, which consists of five chapters. The first chapter introduces the background and significance of this study, introduces the translation practice, and explains the framework of this thesis. Chapter two introduces the theoretical framework of this thesis, which consists of two parts. The first part introduces Skopos theory, reviews the four stages of development of German functionalist translation theory, the three core principles of Skopos theory and the outline of Translation. Two key concepts of "Source language text Analysis". The second part is the theoretical elaboration of information structure, intersentence cohesion and discourse coherence derived from functional linguistics. The third chapter introduces the task process, including three parts: pre-translation preparation, translation phase and post-translation phase. In the stage of pre-translation preparation, the author reviews the basic knowledge of subtitle translation, such as the definition, classification, function and limitation of subtitle translation. Then, the author draws up the translation outline of subtitle translation of Chinese Story, and analyzes the source text of Chinese Story. Chapter four makes a detailed case study of Chinese Story from three aspects: word, sentence and text. First of all, it provides the translation outline of "Chinese Story" and analyzes the source language version of "Chinese Story". Through the analysis, we can find that the source subtitle language of "Chinese Story" is very colloquial, and that there are many redundant words and incomplete sentences. And speakers often change their perspective. Then, according to the three principles of Skopos, the author puts forward twelve translation strategies used in subtitle translation of "Chinese Story", which are as follows: 1. Adopt transliteration to spread Chinese culture; 2. To improve the understanding of the audience; 3. Free translation of difficult words to enhance the understanding of the audience; 4. Delete redundant words, break through the limitation of time and space; 5. Adjust the word order, in line with the habit of expression; 6. Rewriting to enhance the logic of the text; 7. Rewriting, unified narrative perspective; 8. Update the information, improve the coherence in the text; 9. Maintain subject consistency and achieve intra-text coherence; 10.0. Reorganization of information structure to improve intersentence cohesion; 11. Using parallel text to realize accurate translation. The final rhyme is adopted to preserve the aesthetic value. The fifth chapter is the conclusion, summarizes the findings of this study, points out the limitations of this study, and puts forward some suggestions for future research.
