《看见》（节选）英译实践报告

【摘要】：前央视记者柴静所撰写的《看见》一书深受中国读者青睐。《看见》一书是主持人柴静讲述央视十年历程的自传性作品,既是柴静个人的成长告白书,某种程度上亦可视作中国社会十年变迁的备忘录。无论是对于中国读者还是西方读者来说,该书就像是一个窗口,透过这个窗口,读者可以深刻地了解到中国。全书共二十章。内容涉非典、汶川地震、山西污染等热点问题。笔者在翻译该文本的基础上完成本次翻译实践报告。翻译文本来自该书的第一章以及第七章,约1.5万字,主要介绍了该书作者成为央视记者的经历和心理历程,以及山西污染的问题。笔者以韦努蒂的异化翻译理论为指导进行翻译实践活动。韦努蒂提出,译者在翻译中应该彰显他者的异域文化,保留文化差异性,因此译者在翻译中应该显形。在实践翻译中,笔者运用异化翻译方法,力求精准而晓畅地向读者传达原文的内容。本翻译实践报告的目的在于探索传记文学翻译的策略和方法,希望对后来的学者进行传记文学翻译提供一定的帮助。
[Abstract]:The book "see", written by former CCTV reporter Chai Jing, is favored by Chinese readers. The book is an autobiographical work of the host, Chai Jing, who tells about CCTV's ten-year history. It is also a personal growth confession book for Chai Jing. To some extent, it can also be seen as a memorandum of ten years of change in Chinese society. For both Chinese and Western readers, the book is like a window through which readers can learn deeply about China. The book consists of twenty chapters. Content related to SARS, Wenchuan earthquake, Shanxi pollution and other hot issues. The author completes this translation practice report on the basis of translating the text. The translated text comes from the first and seventh chapters of the book, about 15000 words, mainly introduces the author's experience and psychological process of being a reporter of CCTV, and the pollution problem in Shanxi Province. Under the guidance of Weinuti's foreignization translation theory, the author carries out translation practice. Weinuti suggests that the translator should manifest the alien culture and preserve the cultural differences in translation, so the translator should manifest himself in translation. In practical translation, the author tries to convey the content of the original text to the reader accurately and smoothly by using the method of foreignization translation. The purpose of this translation practice report is to explore the strategies and methods of biographical literature translation, and to provide some help for later scholars in the translation of biographical literature.
