《单身、随性、成熟》翻译实践报告

【摘要】：本报告是对凯瑟琳·海尼小说《单身、随性、成熟》中的一篇故事《潜水酒吧》的翻译实践总结。凯瑟琳·海尼是美国现代女作家,其作品具有深刻的思想和细腻的笔调。《单身、随性、成熟》是她杰出的处女作,其中故事《潜水酒吧》目前还没有译文。凯瑟琳·海尼的故事不动声色地突出了约会的戏剧色彩,从豆蔻年华到成年时期,不一而足。海尼不单单写因社交媒体而逐渐疏离的情侣,也写年轻女孩认识到其声色的威力,笔调不乏揶揄嘲讽。对话是《潜水酒吧》中不可缺少的一部分,对塑造人物形象,推动故事情节发展等起着关键作用。因此该小说中的对话翻译尤为重要。作者基于读者反应论的指导对小说中的对话翻译进行研究。读者反应论注重目的语读者的反应,其翻译的宗旨是使目的语读者与原语读者获得大致相同的反应。在翻译过程中,人物性格及其内心世界的完美体现、小说语言特色的呈现、原语与目的语的对等统一成为了主要难点。针对以上难点,作者采用了转换词性,使用口语化语言,增词以及加注等翻译方法,同时探讨了读者反应论在小说翻译中的指导作用,对今后译者研究小说对话翻译提供帮助。
[Abstract]:This report is a summary of the translation practice of a story, dive Bar, in Katherine Heinney's novel single, casual, mature. Katherine Hainey is a modern American woman writer whose works have profound thoughts and delicate style. "single, casual, mature" is her outstanding debut, among which the story "diving Bar" has not yet been translated. Catherine Hainey's story, from bloom to adulthood, quietly accentuates the drama of dating. Hainey wrote not just about couples alienated by social media, but also about young girls' recognition of the power of their voices, and their mockery. Dialogue is an indispensable part of diving Bar, which plays a key role in shaping characters and promoting the development of storyline. Therefore, the dialogue translation in the novel is particularly important. Based on the guidance of reader response theory, the author makes a study of dialogue translation in novels. Readers' response theory focuses on the target language readers' response, and the purpose of its translation is to make the target language readers and the original language readers get roughly the same reaction. In the process of translation, the perfect embodiment of character and its inner world, the presentation of the language features of the novel, and the unification of the source language and the target language have become the main difficulties. In view of the above difficulties, the author adopts translation methods such as conversion of part of speech, colloquial language, addition of words and notes. At the same time, the author discusses the guiding role of reader's response theory in the translation of novels, which will be helpful to the translator in the study of novel dialogue translation in the future.
