《英伦肖像》第一部分的翻译实践报告

【摘要】：本篇翻译实践报告选取西蒙·沙玛的《英伦肖像》第一部分作为翻译实践文本,报告包括任务描述、任务过程、案例分析和实践总结四个章节,译者在报告中对翻译实践的全过程进行了全面而详尽地阐述。《英伦肖像》属于文学类文本,内容涉及英国历史、社会、风俗和宗教,用词华丽,句式复杂。在翻译实践过程中,译者遇到了许多翻译问题,其中对译者造成主要翻译障碍的就是文化负载词和状语从句的翻译。译者将在案例分析章节,结合翻译实践中的实例,重点剖析译者在翻译文化负载词和状语从句时遇到的翻译问题,并详细阐述译者使用的翻译策略及方法。译者在解决物质文化负载词、社会文化负载词和宗教文化负载词的翻译问题时,主要使用了增译法、意译法、注释法等;在解决让步状语从句和时间状语从句的翻译问题上,译者主要使用了顺译、调整语序、意译等方式。作者希望借由本次翻译实践报告,对文学类文本中文化负载词的翻译以及状语从句中的部分难点问题的解决提出较有价值的翻译思路和解决方法,希望对日后同类型文本的翻译有一定的启示作用。
[Abstract]:The first part of Simon Shama's Portrait of England is chosen as the translation practice text. The report includes four chapters: task description, task process, case analysis and practice summary. In the report, the translator gives a comprehensive and detailed account of the whole process of translation practice. "English Portrait" is a literary text, covering British history, society, customs and religion, ornate words and complex sentence patterns. In the process of translation, the translator has encountered many translation problems, among which the translation of culture-loaded words and adverbial clauses is the main obstacle to translation. In the case study chapter, the translator will focus on the translation problems encountered by the translator in translating culture-loaded words and adverbial clauses, and elaborate the translation strategies and methods used by the translator. In solving the translation problems of material-culture-loaded words, sociocultural loaded words and religious culture-loaded words, translators mainly use the method of adding translation, free translation, annotation and so on. In order to solve the problem of translation of transitive adverbial clauses and temporal adverbial clauses, translators mainly use the methods of sequence translation, readjustment of word order, and free translation. The author hopes to use this translation practice report to put forward some valuable translation ideas and solutions to the translation of culture-loaded words and some difficult problems in adverbial clauses in literary texts. It is hoped that it will have some enlightening effect on the translation of the same text in the future.
