汉英“马/Horse”隐喻的文化认知研究

马作为人类的得力工具和亲密伙伴,在人们生活中的交通、生产、体育、娱乐等领域都具有重要的作用,它们与人类紧密联系在一起,连许多语言表达中都有马的身影。在人类认识世界和理解自己的过程中,他们通过马这种熟悉的动物去理解相较之下更为陌生或抽象的人类特质和其他事物。这一语言现象在中英文中都有所体现,为语言学研究提供了十分有价值的研究视角。早期研究从较为整体的视角出发,主要包括语言学、文学和社会研究。后来,学者们逐渐不再满足于概括性的研究,把重点聚焦在某一种具体的动物表达上。他们从语言和文化的视角来这些研究与马有关的语言表达,但语言和文化被作为两种不同的视角来分开讨论。尽管有的研究提到了文化因素,但仅仅是作为众多因素中的一种,而其他的文化语言学研究中少有提及有关马的表达,即便有,也不是作为研究主体。然而,汉英“马”隐喻的应用差异确实存在,这一现状受不同民族文化的影响。因此,本文基于认知语言学中的概念隐喻理论和文化语言学中的文化概念化理论,一方面专注于汉英“马”隐喻的隐喻义研究,在对比研究中主体为与马有关的中文隐喻表达,而英文的“马”隐喻则作为对比和补充。另一方面,汉英“马”隐喻产生异同的文化背景因...
