《不一样的弃医,不一样的从文——鲁迅、郭沫若弃医从文比较论》英译实践报告

　　我国著名文学家、历史学家郭沫若是四川乐山沙湾人。乐山作为郭沫若的故乡,有非常丰富的史料能为研究郭沫若的生平提供保障。将研究郭沫若的文献翻译成英文,能增强国内外郭沫若文化研究方面的学术沟通交流,亦能为宣传郭沫若文化和国际交流起到一定的作用。译者受四川郭沫若研究中心的委托,承接其中心主任廖久明教授的论文《不一样的弃医,不一样的从文——鲁迅、郭沫若弃医从文比较论》一万八千余字的翻译任务。本文基于纽马克的文本功能理论,探索学术翻译的重点、难点、方法及策略。本实践报告包含五个部分:第一部分为根据委托方的具体要求收集了解到的郭沫若先生的生平及该篇学术作品研究的背景。郭沫若因为教育环境、阅读习惯、生理因素和时代背景等几方面原因选择了弃医从文。由此展现出学术作品翻译的研究意义。第二部分为对译前准备、翻译流程、译后事项等翻译过程的总体描述。第三部分为研究理论的阐述,详细介绍纽马克的文本功能理论的基本观点,提出学术作品翻译的策略和方法。第四部分为翻译案例分析,是本实践报告的重点。基于文本功能理论的基本观点,对原文本进行研究,分析该文本具有的信息功能和表达功能。根据文本特点,译者从词、句和篇章三方面列举了该...
