中低英语水平写作中语言复杂度的多维度研究

  本研究旨在对二语复杂度进行多维度探究,在传统的句法复杂度和词汇复杂度基础上加入新的复杂度——词块复杂度,首先探究词块复杂度能否衡量中低二语水平的发展,然后对句法复杂度、词汇复杂度和词块复杂度三种复杂度的内部构念进行深度探究,并比较这些复杂度指标在预测二语水平时的差异。以往的学习者语料库研究对中低水平学习者有所忽视,为了弥补这点,本研究所用语料来自中国中低水平英语学习者——浙江省某中学初高中学生的322篇限时英语作文。考虑到按年级区分语言水平不能避免个人差异的影响,本研究对所有作文进行了重新评分并划分为4个语言水平层次。词块的选取上,我们选取了常见的形容词+名词和动词+直接宾语两种搭配,运用Stanford Parser软件自建依存树库进行词块提取,并运用BNC在线语料库计算词块复杂性,句法复杂度和词汇复杂度分别通过二语句法复杂度分析器和二语词汇复杂度分析器计算。通过数据分析和讨论,我们得到了以下发现:1)词块复杂度可以衡量二语水平的发展,但衡量水平取决于词块类型。形容词+名词的词块复杂度比动词+直接宾语的词块复杂度在区分和预测二语水平方面更胜一筹。2)词块复杂度指标根据不同的词块类型测...
