课程学习兴趣对中职学生英语水平的影响的研究

【摘要】：国内外研究者一直试图从不同的角度通过相关性或实验研究方法明确兴趣对学习的促进作用。就英语教学研究而言,目前大部分研究围绕的是两种类型的兴趣——情境兴趣和个体兴趣——与学生英语水平的关联或对学生英语学习的促进作用。其关联性与促进作用在不同的英语教育教学环境中均得到了证实。但是针对中国中职学生英语课程学习兴趣的研究还比较缺乏,此外,对于情境兴趣和个体兴趣哪一项对学生英语学习影响更为突出,相关研究尚不多见。鉴于此,本研究旨在探寻下面两个问题的答案:(1)中职学生英语课程学习兴趣与英语水平之间是否存在正相关关系?(2)情境兴趣还是个体兴趣对中职学生英语水平影响更大?该研究以广东省的一所中职学校的一年级学生为对象。研究历时五个月(从2014年9月到2015年1月)。研究以Schraw and Lehman(2001)对兴趣结构的分类框架为基础,采用由Keller(2006)编制的已获得专利的《课程兴趣量表》调查学生对英语课程的学习兴趣,并使用全国英语等级考试(二级)作为衡量学生英语水平的工具,对兴趣(包括情境兴趣和个体兴趣)与成绩进行相关分析。研究结果表明:(1)中职学生对英语课程的学习兴趣,包括情境和个体,处于中等水平;(2)中职学生的综合英语水平受兴趣的影响很大,其中写作能力受到的影响超过阅读能力;(3)与情境兴趣相比,个体兴趣在学习过程和学习结果中起着更为重要的作用。此外,该研究基于Krashen(1982)的情感过滤假说以及Deci和Ryan(1985)的自我决定理论,结合课堂观察以及对学生和教师进行的一系列访谈,对研究结果进行了解释,然后提出了中职英语教学中有效激发和维持学生英语课程学习兴趣的建议,希望能够对中职学校英语教学提供一些有益的启示,并通过课程开发者设计的有趣的学习任务以及教师采用的合适的教学策略来提高学生学习英语课程的学习兴趣。
