平行文本对汉英交替传译质量影响的实验报告

【摘要】:本研究是关于平行文本对汉英口译质量的影响的实验研究。本研究的目的是通过比较两组实验组之间的口译产出,以验证平行文本是否对汉英口译质量有显著影响,分析两组实验数据的差异,探讨造成差异的原因,以及如何使用平行文本来提高汉英交替传译质量,为译员日常的交传训练提供一些启发。为了达到本研究目的,作者设计了一项汉英交传实验,选取了12名外交学院MTI口译专业的二年级研究生作为实验对象。作者将实验对象分为两组,每组6名,一组提前一天提供与实验材料有关的平行文本,另一组则是在实验开始前半小时才通告实验材料的主题。通过分析实验数据,本研究得出了以下结论:首先,利用平行文本作准备的实验组的交传质量明显好于未提供平行文本的实验组,主要体现在流利度,专业术语和信息传达三个方面;其次,交传质量差异的主要原因是因为阅读平行文本能够帮助译员建立与口译内容相对应的框架,扩充了背景知识;最后,学生译员在平时的口译训练中应合理选择平行文本,以提高口译质量。
[Abstract]:This study is an experimental study of the effects of parallel texts on the quality of Chinese-English interpretation. The purpose of this study is to compare the interpretation output between the two groups of experimental groups. In order to verify whether the parallel text has a significant impact on the quality of Chinese-English interpretation, this paper analyzes the differences between the two groups of experimental data, discusses the causes of the differences, and how to use parallel texts to improve the quality of Chinese-English consecutive interpretation. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, the author designed a Chinese-English communication experiment. Twelve second-year graduate students majoring in MTI interpretation in Foreign Affairs College were selected as experimental subjects. The subjects were divided into two groups, six in each group, one day in advance to provide parallel texts related to the experimental materials. The other group announced the subject of the experiment only half an hour before the beginning of the experiment. Through the analysis of the experimental data, the study reached the following conclusions: first. The communication quality of the experimental group prepared by parallel text is obviously better than that of the experimental group without providing parallel text, which is mainly reflected in three aspects: fluency, technical terms and information transmission. Secondly, the main reason for the difference in the quality of communication is that reading parallel texts can help interpreters to build a framework corresponding to the content of interpretation and expand their background knowledge. Finally, in order to improve the quality of interpretation, student interpreters should reasonably select parallel texts in peacetime interpreting training.
