《聪明的驼鹿该吃什么？—博物学、生态学及北部森林》（前言至第一章）翻译实践报告

【摘要】：本文是一篇翻译报告,翻译材料节选自《聪明的驼鹿该吃什么?》。做出这样的选择,首先是因为译者对大自然相关的课题抱有浓厚的兴趣;通过本次翻译实践,特别是通过对中英两种科技语言在词汇、句法和风格上的对比,译者初步掌握了生态文本的翻译特点,同时提高了自己的翻译水平。其次,该翻译项目在一定程度上有助于普及博物学及北部森林的基本知识,呼吁人们从城市生活中暂时脱离出来,去拥抱大自然。文中,译者不仅介绍了该翻译项目的背景及意义,还介绍了美国北部森林的生态,这是博物学中的重要的研究领域。对普通大众来说,起到了很好的知识普及作用。加之,译者还展示了翻译之前所做的准备工作。包括专业术语的积累,阅读相关的平行文本,以及借助网络进行信息查找,如:维基百科,百度百科来了解北部森林,生态学以及博物学的知识。另外,翻译过程所依据的理论译者选择德国功能理论中应用最广的目的论作为指导理论,从该理论的发展,核心原则以及如何运用这个原则这三个方面进行论述。译者还举出翻译当中的案例结合翻译理论进行深入分析。例如,如何在目的性原则指导下分析标题翻译和长难句翻译,如何在连贯性原则基础上分析增译和减译,以及如何在忠诚性原则指导下进行比喻翻译以及术语的翻译。最后译者将讨论了翻译过程中的启发,并列出了翻译实践中未解决的问题。
[Abstract]:This is a translation report, excerpts from "what should a smart moose eat?" The first reason for this choice is that the translator has a strong interest in nature related subjects; through this translation practice, especially through the comparison of lexical, syntactic and stylistic aspects between Chinese and English scientific and technical languages, The translator initially grasps the translation characteristics of ecological text and improves his translation level. Secondly, this translation project is helpful to popularize the basic knowledge of natural history and the northern forest to a certain extent. In this article, the translator not only introduces the background and significance of the translation project, but also introduces the ecology of the forests in the northern United States. This is an important field of research in the field of history. For the general public, it has played a good role in popularizing knowledge. In addition, the translator has also demonstrated the preparatory work done before translation, including the accumulation of technical terms and the reading of related parallel texts. And search for information through the Internet, such as Wikipedia, Baidu Encyclopedia, to understand the knowledge of northern forests, ecology and history. In addition, On the basis of the theory on which the translation process is based, the translator chooses the Skopos theory, which is the most widely used in German functional theory, as the guiding theory. The core principle and how to apply this principle are discussed in this paper. The translator also gives examples in translation and makes an in-depth analysis of the translation theory. For example, how to analyze the translation of title and long difficult sentences under the guidance of the Skopos principle, and how to analyze the translation of long and difficult sentences under the guidance of the Skopos principle? On the basis of the principle of coherence, this paper analyzes how to add and subtract translation, and how to translate metaphors and terms under the guidance of the principle of loyalty. Finally, the translator will discuss the implications in the process of translation. The unsolved problems in translation practice are also listed.
