不同母语背景的英语可知性:日本听音人感知研究

【摘要】:自上个世纪英语成为国际政治,经济贸易和科学研究的通用语言以来,它给国际间交流带来便利的同时,也由于母语背景的差异而产生的英语多样性与复杂性,给国际间沟通带来困难。明显的带有说话人母语标记的英语口音降低了交流的有效性。本研究从英语语音的音系结构入手,对英语元音、辅音、辅音群在一定的类词汇环境中的进行可知性的测量。研究以中国人、荷兰人、美国人的感知矩阵分别为参照目标,对日语背景的听音人进行研究,从听话人母语与说话人母语关系由远及近的变化进行比较,在测量可知性的同时发现语言距离与语言可知性的相关性。研究借助已有研究的实验模式,利用筛选后的说话人作为最终说话人,在日本本土选取听音人进行感知实验。实验结果又一次证实了中介语可知性的相对效应,同时发现听音人效应大于说话人效应。听音人的语言背景与说话人语言背景的距离是决定可知性高低的重要因素。
[Abstract]:Since 0th century, when English became a common language in international politics, economy, trade and scientific research, it has not only facilitated international exchanges, but also resulted from the diversity and complexity of English due to differences in mother tongue backgrounds. This study begins with the phonological structure of English pronunciation and studies the English vowels and consonants. The consonant group was measured intelligently in a certain lexical environment. Using the perception matrix of Chinese, Dutch and American as the reference target, the study studied the Japanese background listeners. By comparing the relationship between the mother tongue of hearer and the native tongue of speaker from far to near, the correlation between language distance and language knowability is found while measuring the intelligibility. Using the filtered speaker as the final speaker, we selected the listener to conduct the perception experiment in Japan. The results of the experiment proved once again the relative effect of interlanguage comprehensibility. At the same time, it is found that the listening person effect is greater than the speaker effect, and the distance between the speaker's language background and the speaker's language background is an important factor in determining the level of comprehensibility.
