高一新生英语课堂焦虑现状调查及对策研究

【摘要】:随着人本主义理论的出现,情感因素在外语教学过程中的作用越来越受到国内外学者的关注。学习者在外语学习的过程中会受到各种情感因素的影响,而焦虑则是情感因素中影响外语学习的主要因素。对于刚踏入高中校门的高一新生来说,在高考的重压以及父母的无形压力之下,在适应新的学习环境,新的教材,新的教学方法的过程中,英语课堂焦虑的产生在所难免。诸多相关研究亦表明,高一新生英语课堂的焦虑情况比较普遍,且焦虑的困扰往往会直接影响整个高中阶段的英语学习。鉴于此,本研究拟对高一新生英语课堂焦虑的现状以及成因进行深入的调查与研究,并致力于探讨缓解和解除英语课堂焦虑的对策,旨在探索如何帮助高一新生尽快适应新的学习环境,促使高一新生积极健康的投入高中学习生活。本研究旨在探讨以下问题:(1)高一新生英语课堂焦虑现状如何?(2)高一新生英语课堂焦虑的成因何在?(3)如何有效缓解和消除高一新生英语课堂焦虑?本文以克拉申的情感过滤假说和人本主义心理学为理论基础,以山东省某中学高一年级两个班的105名学生及所在班的英语老师为研究对象,采用了定量研究和定性研究相结合的方法。定量研究的研究工具为Horwitz的外语课堂焦虑量表(FLCAS)以及家庭教养方式量表。定性研究为两个班中的12名学生和英语老师的访谈记录及其分析。通过数据收集、分析与讨论,本研究发现,首先,高一新生的英语课堂焦虑普遍存在,且焦虑程度较高,而交际焦虑是高一新生英语课堂焦虑最主要的表现形式。其次,引起高一新生英语课堂焦虑的原因是多方面的,主要包括:1、教师方面:教师课堂提问的方式,教学方法,评价方式以及课堂纠错。2、学生方面:交流畏惧,考试畏惧、评价畏惧、个人差异以及学习策略。3、家长方面:情感理解的缺失以及过度干涉。最后,在分析课堂焦虑的现象以及成因的基础上,本研究探索了缓解高一新生英语课堂焦虑的对策,如,1、教师方面:优化课堂提问方式;改进教学方法;宽容纠错态度;改进评价方式。2、学生方面:转变学习观念,调整学习策略;克服自卑恐惧,构建学习自信。3、家长方面:平等尊重,鼓励自主;期望合理,善于反思。真诚希望本研究结果对了解高一新生英语课堂焦虑现象,缓解其焦虑情绪,进而提高他们英语学习的效率,促进心理健康有一定的启发和帮助。同时期望本研究对多视角探索英语课堂焦虑的研究具有一定的借鉴意义。
[Abstract]:With the emergence of humanism, the role of affective factors in the process of foreign language teaching has attracted more and more attention from scholars at home and abroad, and learners will be affected by various affective factors in the process of foreign language learning. Anxiety, on the other hand, is the main affective factor that affects foreign language learning. For freshmen who have just entered high school, under the pressure of the college entrance examination and the invisible pressure of their parents, they are adapting to the new learning environment and teaching materials. In the process of new teaching methods, anxiety in English classroom is inevitable. Many related studies also show that anxiety is common among freshmen in senior high school. In view of this, the present study intends to investigate and study the current situation and causes of English classroom anxiety among freshmen in senior high school. The purpose of this paper is to explore how to help the freshmen adapt to the new learning environment as soon as possible. The purpose of this study is to explore the following question: 1) what is the current situation of English classroom anxiety among freshmen? 2) what are the causes of English classroom anxiety for freshmen? How to effectively alleviate and eliminate English classroom anxiety of freshmen? Based on Krashen's emotional filtering hypothesis and humanistic psychology, this paper takes 105 students and English teachers from two classes in a senior middle school in Shandong Province as the research objects. The quantitative research tools are Horwitz's Foreign language classroom anxiety scale (FLCAS) and the Family rearing style scale. The qualitative study was carried out by 12 students and English teachers in two classes. Through data collection, Through analysis and discussion, it is found that, first of all, English classroom anxiety of freshmen in Senior one generally exists and the degree of anxiety is high, and communicative anxiety is the most important form of English classroom anxiety for freshmen in Senior one. The causes of English classroom anxiety for freshmen in Senior one are various, including: 1, teachers: the way teachers ask questions, teaching methods, evaluation methods and classroom error correction. 2. Students: fear of communication, fear of examination, fear of evaluation, fear of evaluation. Personal differences and learning strategies. 3. Parental aspects: lack of emotional understanding and excessive interference. Finally, on the basis of analyzing the phenomena and causes of classroom anxiety, this study explores the countermeasures to alleviate English classroom anxiety of freshmen. For example, teachers: optimize classroom questioning methods; improve teaching methods; tolerance and correction attitude; improve evaluation methods. 2. Students: change learning concepts, adjust learning strategies, overcome inferiority fear, Third, parents: equal respect, encourage autonomy; reasonable expectations, good at reflection. Sincerely hope that the results of this study to understand the anxiety of freshmen in English classroom, ease their anxiety, It is expected that this study will be helpful to the study of English classroom anxiety from different perspectives.
