基于翻转课堂模式的大学英语语法教学的实证研究

【摘要】:语言能力与语法理解程度是相关的,而在言语交际过程中,人需要借助于语法知识,因而,对语法教学需要特别重视。作为一种新的教学模式,翻转课堂很可能是有效的教学新途径。为了寻求更加有效的语法教学效果,本研究以专科生在翻转课堂学习语法之前与之后在语法测试中的不同表现及他们在实验前后对这一教学模式的看法变化作为考查指标,探讨了基于翻转课堂教学模式的大学英语语法教学效果及学生对此教学模式的看法。实验对象是来自陕西省西安市某私立学院的107名专科生。其中,实验班包括57名学生,控制班包括50名学生。实验期间教授的语法知识点为名词性从句、定语从句和虚拟语气,研究持续三个星期。所用的研究工具有问卷、语法测试卷及半结构性访谈,并用SPSS18.0对所收集的数据进行了分析。本次研究发现,在学生对语法学习的看法上,翻转课堂有着积极地影响。实验班对语法学习的看法与实验前的有显著的变化。另外,翻转课堂模式和传统教学模式在改善学生语法学习效果方面都具有积极作用。没有证据表明翻转课堂在此方面比传统教学法更有效。本研究建议未来的相关研究者在实验开始前要尽可能选择大样本,同时要将被试者的语言水平考虑在内。
[Abstract]:Language competence is related to the degree of grammatical understanding. In the process of verbal communication, people need to rely on grammatical knowledge, therefore, special attention should be paid to grammar teaching. Flipping classroom is probably a new effective way of teaching. In order to find more effective grammar teaching effect, In this study, the different performance of junior college students in grammar test before and after flipping classroom grammar learning and the changes in their views on this teaching model before and after the experiment were taken as the test indicators. This paper probes into the effect of college English grammar teaching based on the flipping classroom teaching model and the students' views on the teaching model. The subjects of the experiment are 107 junior college students from a private college in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province. Among them, the experimental class consists of 57 students. The control class consisted of 50 students. During the experiment, the grammatical knowledge points were nominal clauses, attributive clauses and subjunctive mood. The study lasted three weeks. The research tools used included questionnaires, grammar test papers and semi-structured interviews. The data collected are analyzed by SPSS18.0. In this study, it is found that flipping class has a positive effect on students' views on grammar learning. The experimental class's views on grammar learning are significantly different from those before the experiment. Both the flipped classroom model and the traditional teaching model play a positive role in improving the students' grammar learning effect. There is no evidence that the flipping classroom is more effective than the traditional teaching method in this aspect. This study suggests that the relevant research should be carried out in the future. People should choose as large a sample as possible before the experiment begins. At the same time, take into account the language proficiency of the subjects.
