美国密苏里州立大学2016开学演讲口译模拟实践报告

【摘要】:演讲,作为一门语言艺术,能调动听众情绪,引发听众共鸣,从而传达出所需要表达的思想、观点和感悟。演讲语言往往通俗简单,语气轻松,却寓意深刻,蕴含哲理。而口译员也往往以此类材料作为口译研究学习对象。本文研究的主要目的是,通过模拟2016密苏里州立大学开学典礼的演讲的口译活动,分析译员在此类演讲类口译活动中遇到的困难,并对听力技巧和笔记符号进行具体研究,并提出相应的应对策略,以提高交替传译活动中译员的口译效率。论文第一章为任务简要介绍,介绍了2016美国密苏里州立大学开学典礼演讲的主要内容和背景、目标人群,主要困难和发言人发音特点等。第二章确定翻译理论,论述法国口译学家Daniel Gile的精力分配理论,并阐述该理论在当下口译活动中的具体应用。第三章,描述口译活动的前期准备过程,包括专业词汇,背景知识等。第四章,分析总结在翻译活动中遇到的困难,并在理论指导下进行案例分析,说明在口译活动中该如何有效的进行听力活动,记忆活动,和表述中遇到的困难,提高口译质量。第五章,翻译实践总结,根据口译实践活动,总结出类似口译活动中问题的解决方法。本论文通过研究发现,在英汉口译演讲类活动中,之所以有时候口译效果不尽人意,除了口译员本身的硬性素质,如英语水平,语言表达能力等,译员在口译活动中未能采取正确的口译技巧,也是造成失败的重要原因之一。这就要求译员在译前不仅要做好充分的准备,在口译活动过程中,也要灵活应对,运用听力,笔记,记忆和表达方面的技巧,从而提高口译质量。希望本论文的研究成果对未来的口译活动具有借鉴意义。
[Abstract]:Speech, as a language art, can arouse the audience's emotion, arouse the audience's resonance, thus convey the thought, the viewpoint and the feeling that need to express. The speech language is often popular and simple, the tone is easy, but the meaning is profound. The main purpose of this study is to simulate the interpretation activities of the 2016 Missouri State University opening ceremony speech. This paper analyzes the difficulties encountered by interpreters in this kind of speech interpreting activities, and makes a specific study of listening skills and note-taking symbols, and puts forward corresponding coping strategies. In order to improve the interpreting efficiency of interpreters in consecutive interpreting activities, the first chapter of the thesis is a brief introduction of the tasks, including the main content and background of the 2016 Missouri State University opening ceremony speech, and the target population. Chapter two defines the translation theory, discusses the energy distribution theory of French interpreter Daniel Gile, and expounds its specific application in the present interpreting activities. This paper describes the preparatory process of interpreting activities, including professional vocabulary, background knowledge, etc. 4th chapters, analyzes and summarizes the difficulties encountered in translation activities, and carries out case studies under the guidance of theory. Explain how to effectively carry out listening activities, memory activities, and difficulties encountered in interpreting activities, improve the quality of interpretation. Chapter 5th, Translation practice summary, according to interpretation practice, In this paper, we find out that in English-Chinese interpreting speech activities, sometimes the interpretation effect is unsatisfactory, except for the interpreters' hard quality, such as English proficiency. The failure of interpreters to adopt correct interpreting skills in interpreting activities is one of the important reasons for failure, which requires interpreters to not only prepare themselves well before translation, but also in the process of interpreting activities. In order to improve the quality of interpretation, we should use the skills of listening, notes, memory and expression to improve the quality of interpretation. I hope that the research results of this thesis can be used for reference in the future interpreting activities.
