英语专业大一学生英语作文中的纯词汇错误研究

【摘要】:纯词汇错误指目标语中的名词、实义动词、形容词和副词在形式和语义方面的违规使用。由于英语纯词汇的数量远大于功能词汇,并且其组成结构更为复杂,因此如何正确运用纯词汇一直困扰着英语学习者。研究纯词汇错误可以提供相关线索以解决这一难题。为研究英语专业学生英语作文中的纯词汇错误类型及其产生的原因,并探究纯词汇错误与学习者英语词汇水平和词汇学习方法之间的关系,本文采用追踪调查研究方法,以25名2015级英语专业大一学生为研究对象。该研究包含两个调查阶段,要求研究对象分别在大一和大二第一学期开始时,完成内容相同的两项测试:词汇量表和限时英语作文,并完成一份英语词汇学习方式调查问卷。根据英语纯词汇错误产生的原因及词汇知识的特点,该研究通过分析相关数据将研究对象的纯词汇错误分为四类,分别是拼写错误、相似形式混淆错误、语义混淆错误和字面翻译错误。其中前二者属于形式错误,后二者属于语义错误;除字面翻译属于语际纯词汇错误之外,其余三者属于语内纯词汇错误。随着研究对象英语学习经验的增加,其作文中出现的四种纯词汇错误有所减少,具体表现在错误密度、错误数量平均值和犯错人数。并且,四种纯词汇错误的数量顺序有所改变。另外,两次研究数据都显示形式错误的数量多于语义错误的数量,语内纯词汇错误的数量同样多于语际纯词汇错误的数量。研究发现,导致这些不同类型的纯词汇错误产生的原因不尽相同。总体来说,英语词汇内部结构的复杂性、研究对象词汇知识的不足和母语干扰是导致这些纯词汇错误的主要原因。在第二调查阶段,研究对象的词汇水平提高的幅度较小,其平均接受性词汇量由6588增加到6980,但产出性词汇水平仍处于前4000高频词汇阶段。通过探究纯词汇错误和词汇水平之间的相关性发现,不同的纯词汇错误类型与词汇水平之间存在不同的相关性;并且在第二调查阶段,同一类型的纯词汇错误与词汇水平之间的相关性有所变化。此外,该研究发现不同类型的纯词汇错误与词汇学习方式的相关性也有所不同,其相关性取决于研究对象所采用的词汇学习方式的特点。该研究对纯词汇错误的分析揭示了研究对象词汇学习中存在的问题,英语学习者可借此反思其词汇学习,教师也可相应提出解决方案以此提升学习者的英语词汇能力。
[Abstract]:Pure noun lexical errors refer to slogans, verb, adjective and adverb in the form of illegal use of words and semantic aspects. As the number of pure English vocabulary is far greater than the function of vocabulary, and its structure is more complex, so how to correctly use the pure vocabulary has been plagued by English learners. The research can provide pure lexical errors clues to solve this problem. For the reason of pure lexical errors types on English Majors in English writing and producing, and explore the relationship between pure lexical errors and learning English vocabulary level and vocabulary learning methods, this paper uses survey research methods, in 25 grade 2015 English major freshman to study the study included two subjects. The investigation stage, asked the subjects respectively in the first and second the first semester, two completed the same test content: vocabulary and limit When writing in English, and completed a questionnaire on English vocabulary learning mode. According to the characteristics of English vocabulary and vocabulary knowledge of pure reason errors, through the analysis of pure lexical errors related data the research object will be divided into four categories, namely spelling errors, similar form of confusion, semantic confusion errors and literal translation wrong. The first two are errors, after the two belong to semantic errors; in addition to literal translation belongs to pure interlingual lexical errors, the other three belong to the pure language lexical errors. With the increase of English learning experience, four kinds of pure vocabulary errors in their compositions are reduced, specific performance in error density the average number of errors, and the number of mistakes. And, the number of sequence of four pure lexical errors have changed. In addition, a two study data show errors than the number of semantic errors The number of the number of words in the same number of pure lexical errors than pure interlingual lexical errors. The study found that the cause of the pure lexical errors of these different types of produce are not the same. In general, the complexity of the internal structure of the English vocabulary, vocabulary knowledge is the research object and the mother tongue interference is the main cause of these pure words wrong. In phase second investigation, smaller vocabulary level of the subjects increased, the average receptive vocabulary size increased from 6588 to 6980, but the productive vocabulary level is still in the top 4000 high frequency vocabulary stage. Through the correlation between lexical errors and lexical levels of pure inquiry found that there are different correlations between different pure words error type and vocabulary level; and in the second stage of investigation, the correlation between the same type of pure lexical errors and vocabulary level change. In addition, the research Study of relationship between different pure lexical errors and vocabulary learning modes are different, the characteristics of vocabulary learning mode and its relevance depends on the research object. The research and analysis of pure lexical errors reveals the existing problems in the study of vocabulary learning, English learners can reflect on their vocabulary learning, teachers can put forward the corresponding solutions in order to improve English learners' lexical competence.
