【摘要】：随着国际交流的日益频繁,地方发展的主体性诉求越来越强烈,地方特色文化的翻译成为我国对外文化交流的重要途径,具有很重要的实际意义和价值。湘绣文化的独特性使得其相关文本的翻译极具重要性与迫切性。本文是以笔者翻译《老湘绣的收藏》(“艺术篇”)为基础撰写的一篇汉译英翻译实践报告。源语文本《老湘绣的收藏》是中国传统湘绣大家野云(原名康巨峰)先生所著,共20万字,内容主要分为艺术篇、服饰篇、日用篇三大类,详细介绍了经典的湘绣作品及其文化背景,并系统地总结了作者20多年来对传统湘绣艺术品收藏的经验与体会,是传播独特的湘绣作品与湘绣文化的重要文本。在纽马克文本类型理论的指导下,通过反复研读汉英对照版《苏州刺绣》以及英文版《日渐衰落的中国湘绣文化的未来》平行文本,笔者在翻译《老湘绣的收藏》实践中主要就专业术语、文化负载词、汉语四字格以及中国古诗词等四个方面进行了分析。具体来说,专业术语,主要采用直译和音译法；文化负载词,主要采用直译加注,音译加注及归化异化相结合的方法；汉语四字格,主要采用直译或直译加注和合并法；中国古诗词,主要采用直译法和意译法。在实际翻译过程中,还综合运用增译法、减译法、改译法等。报告表明,对于涉及地方特色文化的文本翻译,译者不仅要对文化内涵有所了解,还应运用合适的翻译理论加以指导,恰当的翻译技巧和手段加以变通,使译文更符合读者的需求。
