中文状语前置对汉英同传质量的影响及处理策略研究

【摘要】:本论文旨在结合相关理论并通过实证性研究的手段,研究中文状语前置这一语言现象对汉英同传译文质量的影响以及相关应对策略的运用。首先,根据相关语言学理论,中文状语的通常语序为句子中位,前置于动词。而丹尼尔·吉尔的认知负荷模型指出,这种状语前置的语序会占用译员的处理能力,因此可能会给同传带来困难。面对状语前置,译员可选择四种主动应对策略,包括合理预测、句子重构、拉长EVS和顺句驱动。在理论分析后,本文对来自北外高翻学院的三组译员进行了对比实验。该实验的目的是:一,通过定量与定性分析明确状语前置对汉英同传的影响;二,研究各同传策略应对状语前置的效果。通过研究实验结果,本文得出以下结论:中文状语前置会给汉英同传带来困难,影响译员的译文产出。而合理预测和句子重构可以更有效地帮助译员应对,提高翻译的质量。
[Abstract]:The purpose of this thesis is to study the influence of the phenomenon of Chinese adverbial preposition on the quality of Chinese-English simultaneous translation and the application of relevant coping strategies. First, according to the relevant linguistic theories, this thesis aims to study the effect of Chinese adverbial preposition on the quality of Chinese-English simultaneous translation by means of empirical research. The usual word order of Chinese adverbials is the middle of the sentence and the front of the verb. Daniel Gill's cognitive load model points out that the word order of the adverbial foreword takes up the interpreter's processing power. Therefore, it may bring difficulties to co-transmission. In the face of adverbial preposition, translators can choose four active coping strategies, including reasonable prediction, sentence reconstruction, elongated EVS and pro-sentence drive. This paper makes a comparative experiment on three groups of interpreters from North Ouyang College. The purpose of the experiment is: first, to clarify the influence of adverbial preposition on the simultaneous transmission of Chinese and English through quantitative and qualitative analysis; second, to analyze the effect of adverbial preposition on the simultaneous transmission of Chinese and English. Based on the experimental results, this paper draws the following conclusions: the Chinese adverbial foreword will bring difficulties to Chinese and English co-transmission. Reasonable prediction and sentence reconstruction can help translators cope more effectively and improve the quality of translation.
