初中英语写作中词汇应用策略的个案研究

【摘要】:英语写作一直是初中英语教学的热门话题,英语写作在二语学习中发挥着重要的作用。研究者在二语写作能力的研究中发现词汇能力在写作中发挥着重要的作用。但是,现有的研究大部分都是从结果对二语写作的词汇能力入手,基本上没研究者从产出过程来看词汇能力的问题,初中生二语写作中词汇应用策略的过程与写作能力的研究尚属空白。所以,本研究的主要目的是探索本研究的目的是探索词汇应用策略对六个来自广州市某中学初三低水平学生二语写作能力的作用。本研究为期将近四个月,本研究试图回答的核心问题是:1)词汇应用策略能否提高初三学生的写作能力?2)哪些词汇应用策略参与者使用比较频繁?在研究执行期间,词汇应用策略讲解后,都有相应的大量的练习提供给参与者,每三个星期进行一次写作任务,每个月参加学校的月考,根据最新的广州市中考标准要求每名参与者在十五分钟内写出一篇八十字左右的文章,以此来检验学生的写作表现。每次月考后的一个即时访谈来观察参与者对词汇应用策略的使用和态度。并且,为了能更好地了解参与者在写作中是如何运用词汇应用策略来解决写作中遇到的问题的,写作任务中的写作材料仅提供给参与者作文题目。根据收集的数据和研究结果,通过测量工具(调查问卷,写作测试,即时访谈)来统计出实验参与者是怎样运用这四种词汇问题解决策略的(分别是费力提取策略,提升表达策略,问题避免策略和在线修正策略四类词汇策略)。
[Abstract]:English writing has always been a hot topic in junior high school English teaching. English writing plays an important role in second language learning. Most of the existing studies are based on the results of the lexical competence of second language writing. Basically, there is no question of lexical competence from the perspective of the output process. The study on the process of vocabulary application strategy and the writing ability of junior high school students in second language writing is still blank. The main purpose of this study is to explore the effects of lexical application strategies on the writing ability of six junior high school students from a middle school in Guangzhou. The purpose of this study is to explore the effects of lexical application strategies on L2 writing ability of six junior high school students from a middle school in Guangzhou for nearly four months. The key question of this study is whether the vocabulary application strategy can improve the students' writing ability. 2) which vocabulary application strategy participants use more frequently? During the course of the study, after explaining the vocabulary application strategies, a large number of exercises were provided to the participants. They took a writing assignment every three weeks and took a monthly exam at the school every month. According to the latest criteria for the Guangzhou Middle School examination, each participant is required to write an article of about 80 words in 15 minutes. To test the students' writing performance, an instant interview was conducted after each monthly test to observe the participants' use and attitude towards vocabulary application strategies. In order to better understand how participants use lexical application strategies to solve the problems encountered in writing, the writing materials in the writing task are provided only to the participants' composition questions. Based on the data collected and the results of the research, the writing materials in the writing task are only provided to the participants. The measurement tools (questionnaire, writing test, instant interview) were used to find out how the participants used the four vocabulary problem-solving strategies (i.e., the painstaking extraction strategy, the promotion of the expression strategy, respectively). There are four categories of vocabulary strategies: problem avoidance strategy and online correction strategy.
