非英语专业大学生英语词汇习得中的母语迁移现象研究

【摘要】:母语迁移是外语学习过程中的常见现象之一。母语与外语之间的异同之处很容易产生迁移现象,尤其是受母语习惯和思维的影响,在二语习得过程中很容易发生母语负迁移。随着全球化和国际交往的日益频繁,英语学习的语言应用能力和交际能力越来越受到人们的关注。词汇是语言学习的基础,是构建语言大厦的基石。同样地,在英语学习中,词汇学习也非常重要。在英语词汇学习过程中,母语迁移也起到了一定影响。这种影响可以分为促进和和阻碍,也就是语言学中的母语正迁移和母语负迁移。其中,母语负迁移对词汇学习的影响尤为显著。非英语专业大学生英语词汇学习中存在着明显的母语迁移的痕迹,这成为他们提高英语学习水平的瓶颈。因此,本文基于语言迁移理论和前人的研究成果来研究母语迁移对非英语专业大学生词汇习得的影响,找出词汇习得方面的正负迁移的主要表现形式以及负迁移的主要原因,并提出一些有益的建议去推动词汇学习和教学发展。本文运用问卷调查法,测验法和访谈法去了解现阶段非英语专业大学生英语词汇的现状及出现的典型错误。笔者根据收集的样本,经过整理分析后,对其中母语负迁移造成的语际错误进行了分类,从语法错误和语义错误两个大的方面进行具体错误分析,其中语法错误从词形、词性和词的搭配三个方面进行分析;语义错误主要是词义方面的,包括选词不当、与文化背景不符以及中式英语。笔者对每类错误都给予了一些典型的例子并加以分析,指出错误产生的主要原因,即英汉两种语言间的差异。在数据分析的基础上笔者得出主要结论:非英语专业大学生在英语词汇习得中受母语迁移的影响,主要是负迁移的影响。负迁移的表现有:语法错误,包括词形负迁移、词性负迁移和词汇搭配错误;语义错误,包括选词不当以及与文化背景不符,主要表现为中式英语。英汉两种语言的相同之处有助于学习者的词汇学习,这种现象就是母语正迁移。母语负迁移产生的原因主要是英汉两种语言的不同,包括语法和文化、习俗等方面的不同。最后,笔者对学习者和教师分别提出了一些建议,希望能够引起英语教师和英语学习者的重视,促进英语教学和学习的发展。
[Abstract]:Mother tongue transfer is one of the common phenomena in foreign language learning.The similarities and differences between mother tongue and foreign language are easy to produce the phenomenon of transfer, especially due to the influence of mother tongue habits and thinking, so it is easy to have negative transfer of mother tongue in the process of second language acquisition.With the increasing globalization and international communication, people pay more and more attention to the language application and communication ability of English learning.Vocabulary is the foundation of language learning and the cornerstone of language building.Similarly, vocabulary learning is also very important in English learning.In the process of English vocabulary learning, mother tongue transfer also plays an important role.This influence can be divided into promotion and hindrance, that is, positive transfer of mother tongue and negative transfer of mother tongue in linguistics.Among them, the negative transfer of mother tongue has a significant effect on vocabulary learning.There are obvious signs of native language transfer in English vocabulary learning of non-English majors, which is the bottleneck for them to improve their English learning level.Therefore, based on the theory of language transfer and previous research results, this paper studies the influence of mother tongue transfer on vocabulary acquisition of non-English majors, and finds out the main forms of positive and negative transfer in vocabulary acquisition and the main reasons of negative transfer.And put forward some useful suggestions to promote the development of vocabulary learning and teaching.This paper uses questionnaire, test and interview to find out the present situation and typical mistakes of non-English major college students' English vocabulary.According to the collected samples, the author classifies the interlingual errors caused by the negative transfer of mother tongue, and makes a specific error analysis from two major aspects: grammatical errors and semantic errors, in which grammatical errors are lexical errors.Part of speech and collocation of words are analyzed in three aspects: semantic errors are mainly lexical errors, including improper choice of words, inconsistent with cultural background and Chinglish.The author gives some typical examples of each kind of errors and analyzes them, and points out the main causes of errors, that is, the differences between English and Chinese.On the basis of data analysis, the author draws the following conclusions: Non-English majors are influenced by the transfer of their mother tongue, mainly by negative transfer, in English vocabulary acquisition.The negative transfer includes grammatical errors including lexical negative transfer, part of speech negative transfer and lexical collocation errors, while semantic errors, including improper choice of words and inconsistency with cultural background, are mainly manifested in Chinglish.The similarities between English and Chinese help learners learn vocabulary. This phenomenon is that the mother tongue is being transferred.The negative transfer of mother tongue is mainly due to the differences between English and Chinese, including grammar and culture, customs and so on.Finally, the author puts forward some suggestions for learners and teachers, hoping to arouse the attention of English teachers and learners and promote the development of English teaching and learning.
