英文名著阅读对非英语专业大学生英语写作能力影响的实证研究

【摘要】:写作,作为英语学习四项基本技能中承上启下的重要环节,可以很好地反映学生的整体语言水平。然而目前我国非英语专业大学生的英语写作能力仍处在较低的水平。因此,如何帮助学生提高写作兴趣和积极性,进而提高其写作能力需要得到更多研究者和工作者的关注。在外语学习中,阅读和写作共同扮演着非常重要的作用,阅读为成功的写作提供范本,并且习作中表现出来的逻辑思维和语言表达能力都可以通过阅读来培养和提高。因此,与阅读相结合的写作教学方式的应用及研究有着非常重要的意义。然而,在我国大学非英语专业的实际写作教学中,阅读和写作之间相互促进的关系并没有得到重视,作为语言应用典范的名著作品更是没有被充分利用起来。众多理论和研究表明,把写作教学建立在英文名著阅读的基础上不仅符合理论要求,而且适合中国非英语专业大学生的学习现状,有其自己独特的优势。基于目前的大学英语写作教学现状,本研究意在探讨英文名著阅读对非英语专业大学生的英语写作能力的影响,主要针对以下几个问题展开实证研究:(1)英文名著阅读对非英语专业大学生的英语写作能力是否有影响?(2)如果存在影响,主要影响了写作能力的哪些方面?(3)英文名著阅读对高、中、低写作水平学生的英语写作能力的影响是否存在差异?笔者采用定量与定性相结合的研究方法,在山东师范大学进行了为期16周的教学实验,选取该校2015级财务管理专业的两个平行班的86名学生作为实验对象。在开学第一周,在两个班分别进行了英语写作水平测试。随机选择其中一个为实验班,另一个为控制班,在实验班进行关于英文名著阅读的训练,并进行相关的阅读指导、阅读任务、以及写作练习等活动,在控制班采用传统的教学模式。笔者采用了大学英语四级(CET-4)写作真题、自编访谈等实验工具,将前后测所得数据用SPSS22.0软件进行统计分析,同时结合定性分析,得出实验结论。通过为期一学期的实证研究,实验班学生的英语写作能力明显提高,尤其体现在作文内容、结构和词汇三个维度。并且,实验班中该教学方法对低、中水平学生的英语写作能力的影响大于对高水平学生的英语写作能力的影响。控制班的学生的写作能力虽有所提高,但不是很显著。根据以上研究结果,笔者对大学非英语专业的英语写作教学提出了一些建议,同时结合本研究所存在的局限性,对之后的研究提出了相关建议,希望能够为以后的研究提供参考。
[Abstract]:Writing, English learning as a connecting link in the four basic skills, can well reflect the students' overall language proficiency. However Chinese non English Majors' English writing ability is still at a relatively low level. Therefore, how to help students improve their writing interest and enthusiasm, and improve their writing ability needs to be more and more researchers and researchers. In foreign language learning, reading and writing together plays a very important role for the success of the writing, reading and writing provide a template, manifested in logical thinking and language expression ability can be trained and improved through reading. Therefore, has a very important significance of research and application the combination of reading and writing teaching methods. However, in our country University Practical Writing Teaching for English Majors in the mutual promotion between reading and writing. The Department did not get attention, as models of language masterpiece works is not being fully utilized. Many theories and research shows that the teaching of writing based on reading in English masterpiece is not only in conformity with the theoretical requirements, and is suitable for Chinese learning situation of non English major college students, has its own unique advantages in the teaching situation of college. Based on the current English writing, this study is intended to explore English masterpiece reading of non English Majors' English writing ability, mainly for the following issues: (1) An Empirical Study on English reading masterpiece if there is an effect on non English Majors' English writing ability? (2) if there are effects, the main impact of the what aspects of the writing ability? (3) English masterpiece reading on high, low level of writing students' English writing ability if there is the difference? Combination of quantitative and qualitative research methods, a 16 week teaching experiment in Shandong Normal University, 86 students from the school level 2015 financial management professional two classes as the experimental object. In the first week of school, the level of English writing tests were carried out in two classes. One is a random choice the experimental class, the other is the control group of English masterpiece reading training in the experimental class, and the reading instruction, reading assignments, and writing exercises and other activities, the traditional teaching mode in the control class. The author uses the university English level Four (CET-4) by writing Zhenti, interviews and other experimental tools that will be measured before and after the data were analyzed by SPSS22.0 software, combined with qualitative analysis, draw a conclusion of the experiment. Through the empirical research for a period of one semester, the experimental class students' English writing ability is enhanced Especially in the composition, content, structure and vocabulary in three dimensions. And the teaching method in the experimental class of low impact in the level of students' English writing ability is greater than that of high level students' English writing ability of the students in control class. The writing ability is improved, but not very significant. According to the above the research results, the author of the non English Major College English writing teaching and puts forward some suggestions, combined with the limitations of this study, some suggestions on the later research put forward, hoping to provide a reference for future research.
