【摘要】：本报告的核心内容是医学翻译(英译汉),题材选自《How Not to Die》一书(引言及第十一章)。在本书中,作者阐释了与处方药品及其它制剂和手术方法相比,营养饮食及健康生活方式是如何使我们免于疾病困扰,安享健康人生的。本书在医学和营养学领域具有重要意义,且该文本具有鲜明的医学英语特点。本报告的研究视角是交际翻译理论。根据纽马克的文本类型理论,原文属于信息型文本,适用于交际翻译理论。该理论强调译作对译文读者产生的效果应尽量等同于原作对原文读者产生的效果。报告主要分为五章,第一章对项目背景及意义进行了整体描述;第二章对医学翻译的当前研究现状进行了整理和总结;第三章分析了医学英语的特点以及翻译时应遵循的主要原则;第四章是本报告的重点,首先介绍了纽马克的交际翻译理论,然后从词汇和句法角度探讨了该理论对此次翻译项目的指导意义,并针对翻译难点总结出具体的解决方法。最后一章为结语,总结翻译过程中的体会,并提出医学翻译的努力方向。
[Abstract]:The core of this report is medical translation (English-to-Chinese, selected from How Not to Die) (introduction and Chapter 11).In this book, the author explains how a nutritious diet and healthy lifestyle, compared to prescription drugs and other formulations and surgical procedures, can help us to live a healthy life free from disease.This book is of great significance in the field of medicine and nutrition, and has distinctive features of medical English.The research perspective of this report is communicative translation theory.According to Newmark's text type theory, the original text belongs to informational text and is applicable to communicative translation theory.The theory emphasizes that the effect of the translation on the target readers should be as much as that of the original text.The report is divided into five chapters: the first chapter describes the background and significance of the project as a whole, the second chapter summarizes the current research situation of medical translation.Chapter three analyzes the characteristics of medical English and the main principles to be followed in translation. Chapter four is the focus of this report, which first introduces Newmark's communicative translation theory.Then, from the lexical and syntactic perspectives, this paper discusses the guiding significance of the theory to the translation project, and summarizes the specific solutions to the translation difficulties.The last chapter is the conclusion, summarizes the experience in the process of translation, and puts forward the direction of medical translation.
