高中英语写作中连接词使用的错误分析

【摘要】:写作在英语学习中是很重要的一部分,写作体现了词汇、句型、语法、语篇意识等综合能力,能全方位促进学生听、说、读和思维能力的综合发展。写作不仅能使学生的逻辑思维和分析能力得到提升,还能在使用英语时的准确性得到提升。但是,高中生英语写作现状却不容乐观,学生在写作中常常不知道如何在句子和段落之间进行过渡,出现“记流水账”一样的文章,而且连接词方面的错误常常让人啼笑皆非。Halliday和Hasan将篇章中的衔接方式总结为五类,连接词即为其中一类,语篇衔接的标志之一即是否使用了连接词。连接词能够让全文的语意连贯,构成一个整体。在英语写作中,连接词的使用是确保整篇文章连贯性的关键部分,而且起到了纽带的作用,让文章更加顺畅,具有可读性。纵观国内对连接词的相关研究,目前有关英语写作中连接词使用的研究绝大多数集中在大学层面,针对高中生英语写作中连接词使用的错误分析的探讨则相对较少;此外,部分已有的研究基本是期刊类的文章,受篇幅的限制对该问题的探讨不够全面和深入。因此,对高中英语写作中连接词使用的错误研究很有必要。在衔接理论和错误分析理论的指导下,通过分析学生作文、调查问卷以及访谈,对120名高二学生在英语写作中连接词使用现状及错误进行研究分析,主要发现有:第一,高中英语写作中连接词使用的频率较高,使用频率最高的是and,so,because和but,但类型单一;第二,高中英语写作中使用频率最高的连接词类型是:表示顺承、因果以及先后顺序的连接词;第三,高中英语写作中连接词使用的常见错误有:连接词的缺失、误用、前后语义无关、重复以及使用单一,其中,错误最多的是连接词的缺失和误用,问题较严重的是连接词使用单一。通过研究分析发现,导致高中生英语写作中连接词出错的主要原因是母语负迁移、中西思维模式差异、学生个人的学习态度与学习习惯以及教师的教学方式。鉴于此,根据高中生常见的错误及原因分析,有针对性的提出了以下三点建议:第一,正确看待写作中的母语负迁移;第二,培养学生主动总结连接词的错误及原因的学习意识;第三,开展有针对性的连接词课堂教学。英语教师可以通过研究结论和研究发现全面真实地了解高中英语写作中连接词的使用情况,常见错误以及出错原因,提高高中生使用连接词的正确率,进而提高学生英语写作的水平和能力。
[Abstract]:Writing is an important part of English learning. It embodies the comprehensive abilities of vocabulary, sentence pattern, grammar, discourse awareness and so on. It can promote the comprehensive development of students' listening, speaking, reading and thinking ability.Writing not only improves students' logical thinking and analytical ability, but also improves their accuracy in using English.However, the current situation of senior high school students' English writing is not optimistic. Students often do not know how to make the transition between sentences and paragraphs in writing.Moreover, the mistakes in conjunction are often ironic. Halliday and Hasan sum up the cohesive patterns in the text into five categories, among which connectives are one of them, and one of the markers of textual cohesion is whether or not the connectors are used.Connectors can make the whole text coherent and form a whole.In English writing, the use of connectives is a key part of ensuring the coherence of the whole article, and plays the role of a link to make the article more smooth and readable.Looking back at domestic researches on connectives, most of the researches on the use of connectives in English writing are focused on the college level, and there are relatively few researches on the error analysis of connectives used by senior high school students in English writing; in addition, there are few researches on the use of connectives in English writing by senior high school students.Some of the existing studies are mainly about periodical articles, which are not comprehensive and thorough by the limitation of space.Therefore, it is necessary to study the errors in the use of connectors in senior high school English writing.Under the guidance of cohesion theory and error analysis theory, by analyzing students' compositions, questionnaires and interviews, this paper analyzes the current situation and errors of the connectives used in English writing by 120 sophomore students. The main findings are as follows: 1.In senior high school English writing, connectives are frequently used, and the most frequently used ones are Ananso because and but. but the types of connectives used most frequently in senior high school English writing are as follows: conjunctions in order, causality and sequence;Thirdly, the common errors in the use of connectives in senior English writing are: missing, misusing, semantic irrelevant, repeating and single, among which, the most common errors are missing and misusing of connectives.The more serious problem is the use of a single conjunction.Through the research and analysis, it is found that the main causes of the mistakes in senior high school students' English writing are the negative transfer of mother tongue, the differences between Chinese and western thinking patterns, the students' individual learning attitude and habits, and the teachers' teaching methods.In view of this, according to the analysis of common mistakes and reasons of senior high school students, this paper puts forward the following three suggestions: first, to treat the negative transfer of mother tongue in writing correctly; second,Cultivate students' awareness of learning the mistakes and causes of connectors; third, carry out targeted classroom teaching of connectors.English teachers can fully and truly understand the use of connectives, common mistakes and the causes of errors in senior high school English writing, so as to improve the correct rate of using connectives in senior high school students.And then improve the students' English writing level and ability.
