谨防中华文化典籍英译中百科知识纰缪——中华文化典籍英译探微之二

【摘要】：众所周知,中华文化典籍是承载中华优秀传统文化的载体,也是中国文化自信的源泉。目前,我国正处于大发展大变革大调整时代,中国文化走出去已经成为中国文化自信的必然要求,而翻译在其中扮演了重要的角色。本文以《论语》的两个英译本为例,讨论了百科知识在翻译中华文化典籍中的关键作用,呼吁译者要注重积累或夯实自身的百科知识以避免硬译或错译,只有这样我们才能担负起增强中国文化自信的重任。
[Abstract]:As we all know, Chinese cultural classics are the carrier of Chinese excellent traditional culture and the source of Chinese cultural confidence.At present, China is in the era of great development, great transformation and great adjustment. Chinese culture has become an inevitable requirement of Chinese cultural self-confidence, and translation plays an important role in it.Taking two English versions of Analects of Confucius as an example, this paper discusses the key role of encyclopedic knowledge in translating Chinese cultural classics, and calls on translators to pay attention to accumulating or consolidating their own encyclopedia knowledge in order to avoid hard translation or mistranslation.Only in this way can we shoulder the responsibility of enhancing the confidence of Chinese culture.
