词块教学法在高中英语阅读教学中的应用研究

【摘要】:阅读是英语学习与教学的重要部分,对于激发学生的阅读兴趣和培养学生的阅读能力,是十分必要的。语言学家Michael Lewis在二十世纪七十年代提出提出词块教学法,在九十年代词块的研究被逐渐运用外语学习中。词块教学法强调对词语语块的整体把握,而不是对单词表面意思的理解,对于学生在英语阅读具有重要意义。本文旨在通过对高中英语阅读教学的研究,解释二个研究问题,第一,在英语阅读学习中,词块教学法对于学生英语学习兴趣有什么影响;第二,词块教学法对于学生英语阅读能力有什么影响。为了探讨这两个研究问题,作者选取二个平行班作为研究对象,这二个班来自辽宁省沈阳市的同一所高中,分别为实验班和控制班。这二个班级用不同的教学方法,实验班在教学过程中使用词块教学法,在控制班用传统教学方法进行教学。在实验班,教师强调对词块的用法的教授,来帮助学生更好地理解阅读文章。通过分析收集的数据和问卷访谈的结果,表明在实验班的学生英语阅读成绩有显著提高,学生的阅读兴趣和英语学习信心也有了明显提高。实验结果表明,对于高中英语教学,词块教学法是一种有效的阅读教学模式。同时,作者也会对本次实验的不足和局限性进行探讨,并对今后的研究提出一些建议。
[Abstract]:Reading is an important part of English learning and teaching.Michael Lewis, a linguist, put forward the lexical chunks teaching method in the 1970s, and in 1990, the study of pronoun chunks was gradually used in foreign language learning.The lexical chunks approach emphasizes the overall grasp of lexical chunks rather than the understanding of the superficial meaning of words, which is of great significance to students in English reading.The purpose of this paper is to explain two research questions through the study of English reading teaching in senior high school. First, what effect does lexical chunk teaching have on students' interest in English learning; second,What is the effect of lexical chunk teaching on students' English reading ability?In order to discuss these two problems, the author chooses two parallel classes, which come from the same high school in Shenyang, Liaoning Province, as experimental class and control class.The two classes use different teaching methods. The experimental class uses the lexical block teaching method in the teaching process, and the control class uses the traditional teaching method.In the experimental class, teachers emphasize the use of lexical chunks to help students better understand reading articles.Through the analysis of the data collected and the results of the questionnaire interviews, it is shown that the students in the experimental class have significantly improved their English reading scores, their reading interest and their confidence in English learning.The experimental results show that lexical chunk teaching is an effective reading teaching model for senior English teaching.At the same time, the author will also discuss the shortcomings and limitations of this experiment, and put forward some suggestions for future research.
