《新视野大学英语》PPT课件的多模态语篇分析

【摘要】:近年随着现代教育技术的发展和外语教学理念的革新,包含多种模态的PPT课件(包括文字、图像、声音、颜色等)能从多渠道吸引学习者的注意力,并在一定程度上能强化语言信息的输入,已经成为一种普遍的外语教学辅助手段。通过对国内外多模态外语教学PPT课件的相关研究回顾发现,尽管多模态外语教学的研究成果丰富,但从多模态语篇分析视角对大学英语教材的配套PPT课件做系统分析研究的确不多。《新视野大学英语》是由国务院批准的教育部发行的“面向21世纪振兴行动计划”和“新世纪网络课程建设工程”的一套教材。其配套的PPT课件是外语教学与研究出版社针对课本特色和实际需求,结合“以现代信息技术,特别是网络技术为支撑”的教学模式开发的教学课件。本研究以Kress和van Leeuwen的“视觉语法”为理论依托,结合Royce的符际互补理论,以《新视野大学英语》(第二版)1-4册配套PPT课件中的Section A为语料,以期回答下面三个问题:1、《新视野大学英语》PPT课件有哪些多模态特征?2、《新视野大学英语》PPT课件的多模态特征是如何有效共建整体的语篇意义?3、《新视野大学英语》PPT课件对多模态PPT课件的制作及对大学生多元识读能力的培养有何启示?研究结果表明:(1)《新视野大学英语》PPT课件主要运用了视觉模态和听觉模态。其中图文结合的大量使用能有效传递知识内容,为学生提供多模态学习氛围;纯色系和深色系的交替使用使教学重难点突出;正规有序的排版使各环节层次分明;播放大量录音、视频文件能增加学生听说能力的训练,适当激发学生学习兴趣;(2)《新视野大学英语》PPT课件的语篇意义主要由不同符号模态的共同作用产生,包括图文结合对概念意义的构建,图像与颜色的搭配对人际意义的构建和图像与排版对语篇意义的构建。其中图文结合在符际关系的意义实现过程中起着关键作用;(3)在设计多模态PPT课件时,合理选择各种模态以实现意义构建最大化和有效搭配不同的模态以实现意义构建最优化这两点是PPT课件设计时应着重考虑的因素。而在大学英语教学过程中,教师对学生的明确指导和教师对学生的改造式操练这两方面可以有效培养学生的多元识读能力。
[Abstract]:In recent years, with the development of modern educational technology and the innovation of foreign language teaching ideas, PPT courseware with various modes (including text, image, sound, color, etc.) can attract learners' attention from many channels. To a certain extent, it can enhance the input of language information, and has become a universal aid for foreign language teaching. Through the review of the research on the PPT courseware of multi-modal foreign language teaching at home and abroad, it is found that although the research results of multi-modal foreign language teaching are abundant, However, there are few systematic studies on the PPT courseware of college English textbooks from the perspective of multi-modal discourse analysis. New Horizon College English is a plan of action for revitalizing the 21st century issued by the Ministry of Education approved by the State Council. And the new century network curriculum construction project a set of teaching materials. The PPT courseware is developed by the Foreign language Teaching and Research Publishing House according to the characteristics of textbooks and the actual demand, combined with the "modern information technology, especially the network technology as the support". Based on the "Visual Grammar" of Kress and van Leeuwen, combined with Royce's complementary theory, this study takes Section A in New Horizon College English (2nd edition 1-4) as the corpus. In order to answer the following three questions: 1, "New Horizon College English" what are the multi-modal features of the "New Horizon College English" PPT courseware is how to effectively build the overall text meaning, "New Horizons College English > PPT course"??? What is the enlightenment to the making of multi-mode PPT courseware and the cultivation of college students' multi-reading ability? The results show that the PPT courseware mainly uses visual mode and auditory mode. The extensive use of the combination of graphics and text can effectively transfer the knowledge content and provide students with multi-modal learning atmosphere; the alternating use of pure color department and deep color department makes the teaching difficult and important; Playing a large number of audio recordings and video files can increase the training of students' listening and speaking ability, and stimulate students' interest in learning appropriately.) the textual significance of the PPT courseware is mainly caused by the interaction of different symbolic modes. It includes the construction of conceptual meaning by the combination of picture and text, the construction of interpersonal meaning by collocation of image and color, and the construction of text meaning by image and typesetting. Among them, the combination of graphics and text plays a key role in the realization of the meaning of the intersymbol relationship.) in the design of multi-modal PPT courseware, Reasonable selection of various modes to maximize meaning construction and effective collocation of different modes to achieve the optimization of meaning construction are two important factors that should be taken into account in the design of PPT courseware. In the process of college English teaching, teachers' clear guidance to students and teachers' practice of transforming students can effectively cultivate students' pluralistic reading ability.
