《婴幼儿肥胖问题研究》第三至四章翻译实践报告

【摘要】：译者选取了由美国国家科学院于2016年6月出版的报告《婴幼儿肥胖问题研究》第三四章作为翻译材料。该报告以0-5岁婴幼儿为研究对象,通过分析引起婴幼儿肥胖的一系列因素如体力活动、饮食模式、依赖屏幕时间和睡眠等所产生的影响,旨在为婴幼儿肥胖预防工作提供相关建议。鉴于当前肥胖问题的严重性,笔者希望此篇报告的翻译能为中国儿童肥胖预防工作提供指导。源语文本是一篇为婴幼儿肥胖预防工作提供政策建议的报告。根据纽马克的文本类型理论,原文属于信息型文本,适用于交际翻译理论。该理论跳出了逐词逐句翻译的限制,强调译文读者应获得和原文读者一样的阅读感受。译者在交际翻译理论的指导下,认为翻译此篇报告应在保证忠实于原文内容的前提下,注重译文的表达效果,实现信息的有效传递。本报告分为四个部分。第一章从介绍翻译项目背景,目标和意义的角度对翻译项目进行了整体描述;第二章从内容、结构和语言特点等方面对原文进行了分析以及探索,并进行了译后的反思;第三章是本报告的重点,在纽马克的交际翻译理论指导下,总结了翻译过程并提出了翻译过程中的方法和技巧,重难点。其中翻译过程分为译前准备,理论指导以及专业术语收集整理。在词的翻译方面,提出了借助现代化的翻译工具和手段,平行文本的使用等进行翻译实践;在句子翻译方面,在纽马克交际翻译理论,以及忠实通顺原则的指导下,译者采取了直译,意译,增译,减译,分译,合译等翻译方法。最后一章译者总结了翻译过程中尚未解决的问题以及相关的经验教训。译者希望本篇翻译报告能为类似医学报告汉译提供一定帮助和参考。
[Abstract]:The translator selects Chapter 3 and 4 of the National Academy of Sciences' June 2016 report "the study of Infant Obesity" as translation material. The report looked at children aged 0-5 and analyzed the effects of a range of factors such as physical activity, dietary patterns, screen time dependence and sleep. The aim is to provide advice for infant obesity prevention. In view of the seriousness of the current obesity problem, the author hopes that the translation of this report can provide guidance for the prevention of obesity in Chinese children. Source language is a report providing policy recommendations for infant obesity prevention. According to Newmark's text type theory, the original text belongs to informational text and is applicable to communicative translation theory. This theory breaks away from the word-by-word translation restriction and emphasizes that the target readers should have the same reading feelings as the original readers. Under the guidance of the communicative translation theory, the translator thinks that the translation report should pay attention to the expression effect of the target text and realize the effective transmission of information on the premise of being faithful to the content of the original text. The report is divided into four parts. The first chapter gives an overall description of the translation project from the perspective of the background, objectives and meaning of the translation project, the second chapter analyzes and explores the original text from the aspects of content, structure and language characteristics, and makes a reflection on the translation. Chapter three is the focus of this report. Under the guidance of Newmark's communicative translation theory, it summarizes the process of translation and puts forward the methods and techniques in the process of translation. The translation process consists of pre-translation preparation, theoretical guidance and the collection of technical terms. In terms of the translation of words, it is proposed to use modern translation tools, parallel texts, etc. In the field of sentence translation, under the guidance of Newmark's communicative translation theory and the principle of faithfulness and smoothness. Translators adopt literal translation, free translation, addition translation, subtraction translation, partial translation, co-translation and other translation methods. In the last chapter, the translator summarizes the unsolved problems in the process of translation and the relevant experiences and lessons. The translator hopes that this translation report will provide some help and reference for the Chinese translation of similar medical reports.
