英文小说《呼吸呼吸》翻译报告

【摘要】：报告是基于美国著名惊悚小说家斯蒂芬·金的英文小说—《四季之谈》中第四篇短篇小说《呼吸呼吸》的翻译实践。该小说是一部典型的惊悚类小说,以第一口吻的形式讲述了一位老医生加入了一个奇怪的俱乐部,在那里向其他俱乐部成员讲述一位孕妇生孩子的故事。本翻译项目的翻译文本为小说。整篇小说传达了主人翁的内心活动与情感变化,其文本类型是典型的表达型文本,结合文本类型,作者选取文本类型理论和功能目的论作为本翻译项目的指导理论。报告以翻译实践中遇到的难点为研究对象,从词汇,句子,修辞,以及文化四个层面上具体阐述翻译难点,在文本类型理论和功能目的论的指导下探讨相应的翻译策略和方法,其中以意译法为主。通过该翻译实践,作者从中得到了很大的锻炼,与平行文本的比较中其译文有了一定的提高。作者希望报告中总结的翻译策略和方法能为其他译者在翻译类似文本时提供一定的参考。此外,斯蒂芬·金的神秘惊悚小说一直广为国内大众所爱,长期以来他的很多作品作为编剧题材已被拍成世界著名电影,其作品译作对国内编剧和相关类作品的创作也具有较大借鉴意义。报告共有五部分。第一部分从项目介绍和选文意义描述任务。第二部分为理论框架,提出文本类型理论和功能目的论。第三部分介绍译前准备,翻译过程中的难点记录,以及译后审校修改。第四部分为报告的重点章节,主要是案例分析,结合实例阐述翻译中出现的具体问题和采取的翻译策略和方法。第五部分对论文的翻译研究进行总结。
[Abstract]:The report is based on the translation of the fourth short story, breath, by Stephen King, a famous American thriller. The novel is a classic thriller that tells in the first tone an old doctor joining a strange club where he tells other club members the story of a pregnant woman having a baby. The translated text of this translation project is a novel. The whole novel conveys the inner activity and emotional change of the master. The text type is a typical expressive text. Combined with the text type, the author selects the text type theory and the functional Skopos theory as the guiding theory of this translation project. Taking the difficulties encountered in translation practice as the object of study, the report elaborates the translation difficulties from the four aspects of vocabulary, sentence, rhetoric and culture, and probes into the corresponding translation strategies and methods under the guidance of text typology and functional Skopos theory. Among them, free translation is the main method. Through this translation practice, the author has gained a great deal of exercise and improved the translation of parallel texts. The author hopes that the translation strategies and methods summarized in the report can provide some reference for other translators in translating similar texts. In addition, Stephen King's mysterious thriller novels have long been popular in China. For a long time, many of his works have been made into world-famous films as scriptwriters. The translation of his works is of great significance to the creation of domestic writers and related works. The report consists of five parts. The first part describes the task from the point of project introduction and text selection. The second part is the theoretical framework, putting forward text type theory and functional teleology. The third part introduces the pre-translation preparation, the difficult record in the translation process, and the post-translation revision. The fourth part is the focus of the report, mainly case analysis, combined with examples to illustrate the specific problems in translation and the translation strategies and methods adopted. The fifth part summarizes the translation studies of the thesis.
