《元曲一百五十首》及其英译文的系统功能语言学研究

【摘要】：唐诗、宋词和元曲是中国文学史上三座重要的里程碑。对于诗歌翻译的研究,学者较多集中于唐诗和宋词,所以,相比之下,元曲的翻译研究就显得不足。其主要原因来自于两方面,一是因为元曲的数量不能和唐诗宋词比肩;二是因为元曲特殊的体式。此外,诗歌翻译研究长久以来趋向文学批评和文学研究,之后又转向于语言学领域。其中,元曲翻译基于语言学的研究还是比较薄弱,尤其是基于系统功能语言学的研究。早在二十世纪六十年代,系统功能语言学就已经运用于翻译研究当中。之后,翻译研究在系统功能语言学的各个方面展开。根据系统功能语言学,语言具有三大功能,即经验功能,人际功能和语篇功能。许多学者基于三大纯理功能开展了翻译研究,由此说明纯理功能运用于翻译研究中的实操性以及必要性。本文拟从三大纯理功能对辜正坤的《元曲一百五十首》及其英译文进行系统功能语言学分析。从经验功能、人际功能和语篇功能分别描述原文以及译文,旨在系统说明译文是如何实现原文意义,找出影响翻译选择的相关因素,最终概括元曲翻译的特点。研究表明,译者在元曲翻译中尽量保持了与原文的元功能一致。但在翻译当中,出现了必要的调整。一方面由于双方语言内在的差异性,另一方面重点在于元曲本身的特点,即规整的韵律。译者为了保持译文整齐的韵脚,在其翻译当中会选择改变原来的功能。因此,运用纯理功能分析说明,译者在元曲英译当中更重视曲的韵律结构。
[Abstract]:Tang poetry, Song ci and Yuan qu are three important milestones in the history of Chinese literature. For the study of poetry translation, scholars mainly focus on Tang poetry and Song ci, so, the study of Yuan qu translation is insufficient. The main reasons come from two aspects, one is that the number of Yuan qu can not be compared with the poems of Tang and Song dynasties, and the other is the special style of Yuan qu. In addition, poetry translation studies have long tended to literary criticism and literary studies, and then turned to the field of linguistics. Among them, the study of Yuan qu translation based on linguistics is still relatively weak, especially based on systemic functional linguistics. As early as 1960 s, systemic functional linguistics had been applied in translation studies. Since then, translation studies have been carried out in all aspects of systemic functional linguistics. According to systemic functional linguistics, language has three functions: empirical function, interpersonal function and textual function. Many scholars have carried out translation studies on the basis of three major functions of pure theory, thus explaining the practical and necessary application of pure function in translation studies. This paper makes a systematic functional linguistic analysis of Koo Zheng-kun 's 150 songs of Yuan qu and its English translation from three major theoretical functions. In this paper, the author describes the original text and the translation separately from the empirical function, interpersonal function and textual function. The purpose of this paper is to systematically explain how the original meaning is realized, to find out the relevant factors that affect the choice of translation, and finally to summarize the characteristics of the translation of Yuan qu. The study shows that the translator tries to maintain the metafunctions of the original text in the translation of Yuan qu. However, some necessary adjustments have been made in translation. On the one hand, due to the internal differences between the two languages, on the other hand, the focus is on the characteristics of Yuan qu itself, that is, regular rhythm. In order to maintain the rhythm of the translation, the translator chooses to change the original function in his translation. Therefore, the pure function analysis shows that the translator pays more attention to the rhyme structure in the translation of Yuan qu.
