【摘要】：本文是一篇翻译实践报告。原文选自英国作家大卫·菲尔德·瑞尼(所著的《英国驻华使馆设馆第一年间的北京和北京人》一书的第八章和第九章。作者菲尔德是英国驻华大使馆医务官,他不仅亲眼目睹了一些重大历史事件的发生,还与中国各阶层人士往来交流,深入了解了清末中国的风土民情,因此本书是研究中国历史的一部不可多得的百科全书。笔者负责翻译的两章约1.5万字英文单词。这两章描写甚杂,涉及了当时北京的政治、社会、生活、贸易、民俗、天气等方方面面,但最主要的笔墨还是集中在当时的政治形势和官僚内幕等。报告共由五部分组成:第一部分为整个项目的简要介绍;第二部分是译前准备及对原文文本特征分析;第三部分是对金杽等效论的简要介绍以及等效论在项目中的运用;第四部分笔者主要分析了等效论在项目中的运用、常用翻译技巧以及案例分析;第五部分是总结,笔者总结了翻译过程中以及翻译报告的撰写过程中的经验收获以及待解决的问题。根据本文的文体和语言特点,笔者以金杽的等效理论为指导进行此次翻译实践活动。本篇翻译报告的第四章“案例分析”为核心章节。为保留原文历史文化元素,笔者在金杽等效论的宏观指导下,采用音译、回译与加注等多种翻译方法进行翻译,以便让读者更好地理解原文意思。对于一些结构复杂的长难句及段落的翻译,笔者在充分理解原文内容的基础上结合直译,意译进行翻译,使读者更容易接受。希望本翻译实践及其报告能够为实现跨文化传播提供一定帮助,为汉学研究者提供有价值的历史资料。
[Abstract]:This article is a translation practice report. The original text is selected from the English writer David Field Rene, the eighth and ninth chapters of the first year of the British Embassy in Beijing and Beijing. The author, the author of the British Embassy in China, is the medical officer of the British Embassy in China. He not only witnessed the occurrence of some major historical events, but also was in the middle of the Chinese embassy. The two chapters of the translation are about 1.5 thousand words of English words. These two chapters are very miscellaneous and relate to the political, social, life, trade, folklore, weather and other aspects of Beijing at that time. But the most important pen and ink is focused on the political situation and the bureaucratic interior at that time. The report consists of five parts: the first part is a brief introduction to the whole project; the second part is the pre translation preparation and the analysis of the text characteristics; the third part is the brief introduction of the equivalence theory and the use of the equivalence theory in the project; fourth parts. The author mainly analyzes the application of equivalence in the project, the translation skills and the case analysis; the fifth part is the summary. The author summarizes the experience gained and the problems to be solved during the process of translation and the writing process of translation reports. The fourth chapter of the translation report, "case analysis", is the core chapter. In order to retain the historical and cultural elements of the original, the author uses a variety of translation methods, such as transliteration, retranslation and annotation, to make readers better understand the meaning of the original text under the macro guidance of the equivalence theory of gold in order to make the readers understand the meaning of the original text better. On the basis of fully understanding the content of the original text, the author combines literal translation with free translation to make it easier for readers to accept. I hope this translation practice and its report can provide some help for the realization of cross cultural communication, and provide valuable historical data for the Chinese researchers.
