巴彦淖尔方言在英语语音习得中的负迁移现象调查研究

【摘要】:语音是口头交流必不可少的媒介,它在英语学习中起着非常重要的作用,在英语语音的学习过程中,母语迁移是每个学习者都会遇到的问题。很多研究表明汉语方言对英语语音学习产生负迁移作用(桂灿昆,1987;赵元任,1982)。对于内蒙古巴彦淖尔市本地的学生而言,在英语语音习得的过程中,他们也会受到当地方言的负迁移影响。巴彦淖尔方言属于北方方言中的西北次方言。在巴彦淖尔方言与标准英语之间存在着许多差异,大多数英语学习者都可能被自己母语的语音系统所影响。由于巴彦淖尔方言与标准英语间的不同,使得英语学习者在对标准英语语音习得的过程中受到干扰。最终产生负迁移。为了找到提高巴彦淖尔本地学生的英语语音习得能力的方法,本文从音段这一方面出发,将错误分为元音发音错误和辅音发音错误并对其进行了错误研究和分析,从结果中得到巴彦淖尔方言在二语习得者的语音习得中的影响。通过这一调查研究,笔者试图通过证明母语在英语语音习得中的负迁移作用并且提出相适应的建议来降低这种迁移的作用。本研究选择了120位巴彦淖尔本地的高一学生为受试者,通过对他们做问卷调查和语音测试,记录下所有数据和资料,之后进行分析。过对收集到的资料和数据分析显示巴彦淖尔当地的学生在他们的英语语音发音过程中确实存在许多发音错误,这些错误可分为两类:元音发音错误和辅音发音错误,并根据这些错误对教师的语音教学提出了一些相应的建议。本文以语言迁移理论,负迁移理论,语音理论几大原理为理论基础,运用对比分析法和错误分析法两大研究分析方法进行研究。结果发现巴彦淖尔方言对英语语音音标发音的影响主要分为对元音/i/,/i:/,/au/以及对辅音/θ/,/e/和爆破音/p/,/b/等的负迁移影响。本文的研究是关于二语习得研究中内蒙地区方言对英语语音习得负迁移影响的初步尝试,笔者根据所得结论探索了当地方言对学生语音习得的负迁移作用,且文章对中小学英语教学和语言学习这有一定的借鉴作用和启发。
[Abstract]:Phonetics is an indispensable medium for oral communication, which plays an important role in English learning. In the process of learning English pronunciation, the transfer of mother tongue is a problem that every learner will encounter. Many studies have shown that Chinese dialects have a negative transfer effect on English phonetic learning (Gui Cankun 1987; Zhao Yuanren 1982). For the local students in Bayannur, Inner Mongolia, they are also affected by the negative transfer of local dialects in the process of English phonetic acquisition. Bayannur dialect belongs to the northwest subdialect of the northern dialect. There are many differences between Bayannur dialect and standard English, and most English learners may be influenced by the phonetic system of their mother tongue. Due to the difference between Bayannur dialect and standard English, English learners are disturbed in the acquisition of standard English pronunciation. Finally, negative migration is produced. In order to find a way to improve the English phonetic acquisition ability of Bayannur native students, this paper divides the errors into vowel pronunciation errors and consonant pronunciation errors, and makes an error study and analysis on them. The effect of Bayannur dialect on the phonetic acquisition of second language learners is obtained from the results. Through this investigation, the author attempts to reduce the role of this transfer by proving the negative transfer role of native language in English phonetic acquisition and putting forward appropriate suggestions. In this study, 120 senior high school students in Bayannur were selected as subjects. All data and data were recorded and analyzed by questionnaire survey and phonetic test. An analysis of the collected data and data shows that the local students in Bayannur do have many pronunciation errors in their English pronunciation, which can be classified into two categories: vowel pronunciation errors and consonant pronunciation errors. According to these mistakes, the author puts forward some corresponding suggestions to the teacher's phonetic teaching. Based on the theories of language transfer theory, negative transfer theory and phonetic theory, this paper uses two research methods: contrastive analysis method and error analysis method. The results show that the influence of Bayannur dialect on the pronunciation of English phonetic symbols can be divided into three categories: the negative migration of vowels / consonants / 胃 / p / b / etc. The present study is a preliminary attempt to explore the negative transfer effect of local dialects on English phonetic acquisition in the study of second language acquisition, and the author explores the negative transfer effect of local dialects on students' phonetic acquisition. And this article has the certain reference function and the inspiration to the elementary and middle school English teaching and the language study.
