【摘要】：本文是一篇翻译实践报告,主要对《中国—悠久帝国》节选的翻译实践过程进行了总结,并简述了翻译过程中运用的翻译理论与技巧。《中国—悠久帝国》是美国作家伊莉莎·鲁阿玛·溪德沫(Eliza Ruhamah Scidmore)的一本游记类著作,翻译项目选自第二十四章至第二十七章。该部分主要包括茶林场飘香之河；扬子江上溯千里;扬子江上的木船以及广州城。为了更加科学地完成所选翻译任务,笔者在翻译之前综合对比分析了一部分翻译理论,最后笔者选用目的论作为理论指导进行试译。在报告的第一部分中,笔者对原文本作者以及成书背景加以考察介绍,并在第三章对原文本内容以及具体案例进行分析后,发现目的论对翻译实践有着重要的理论指导意义。继而,笔者总结出游记类文本翻译实践过程中的一些规律,即利用目的论对指导译前对原文本整体背景、目的读者等情况的分析；翻译过程中应注意运用目的论对文本段落进行分析,从而选择适当的翻译策略。因此,在翻译过程中,笔者以目的论为指导,遵循目的、连贯以及忠实原则,以译文的预期功能为出发点,充分考虑语境,口的读者等因素,注重译义的可读性和语际连贯性,从而选抒最佳处理方式。翻译文本过程中,专有名词、文化负载词和长难句的翻译为重难点,对于专有名词主要采取音译和意译,文化负载词主要采取借用、移植和意译,并对长难句进行拆分与整合。同时,笔者也发现自身尚存存不足之处,认识到一名合格的翻译需要具备勤奋好学的毅力和精益求精的精神。笔者希望该实践报告能给游记类作品翻译提供一定的帮助。
[Abstract]:This paper is a translation practice report, which summarizes the process of translation practice of excerpts from "China-the long Empire". The translation theories and techniques used in the process of translation are briefly described. "China-the long Empire" is a travel book by American writer Eliza Ruhamah Scidmore.Translation projects are selected from chapters 24 to 27. This part mainly includes the Xixiang River in Tea Forest Farm; the Yangtze River goes back thousands of miles; the wooden boat on the Yangtze River and Guangzhou City. In order to accomplish the selected translation tasks more scientifically, the author makes a comprehensive comparative analysis of some translation theories before translation. Finally, the author chooses Skopos Theory as the theoretical guide to conduct a trial translation. In the first part of the report, the author reviews the author of the original text and the background of the book, and after analyzing the content of the original text and specific cases in the third chapter, it is found that Skopos theory has important theoretical significance for translation practice. Then, the author sums up some rules in the process of translation, that is, the Skopos theory is used to analyze the whole background of the original text and the target readers before translation. In the process of translation, we should use Skopos theory to analyze the text paragraphs and choose appropriate translation strategies. Therefore, under the guidance of Skopos theory, the author follows the principles of Skopos, coherence and faithfulness, takes the expected function of the translation as the starting point, fully considers the factors such as context and the reader of the mouth, and pays attention to the readability and interlingual coherence of the translation meaning. Thus choose the best way to deal with express. In the process of translation, the translation of proper nouns, culture-loaded words and long difficult sentences is very difficult. For proper nouns, transliteration and free translation are mainly used, while culture-loaded words are mainly used for borrowing, transplanting and translating, and the long difficult sentences are split and integrated. At the same time, the author also finds that there are still some shortcomings in himself, and recognizes that a qualified translator needs perseverance and the spirit of excellence. The author hopes that the practice report can provide some help for the translation of travelogue works.
