基于角色扮演的初中英语词汇教学实验研究

【摘要】：英语词汇是英语交流的基础,没有词汇就无法实现语言交流。近年来,人们越来越意识到词汇在英语教学中的重要性。但由于时间紧任务重,当前的词汇教学仍然存在诸多问题;同时,初中生对词汇的学习也存在一定困惑。因此,一线教育工作者也在不断地探索新的教学方法来帮助学生更好地掌握词汇。角色扮演法作为一种常见的教学方法,在英语教学中具有重要的地位。因此,本文以语境理论和合作学习理论为基础。旨在探究角色扮演对初中生英语词汇学习的影响。据此提出了两个研究问题:(1)角色扮演的词汇教学是否能有效地提高学生的英语词汇水平?(2)角色扮演的词汇教学对学生的英语词汇学习有什么影响?笔者于2016年9月中至12月末在广东省河源市某初中开展了为期14周的实验研究。研究对象为初一的两个平行班级,共计101人,随机选取其中一个班为实验班,另一个作为控制班。其中实验班采取角色扮演的词汇教学,控制班采用常规的词汇教学。本次教学实验的研究工具包括英语词汇测试和问卷调查。采用定量研究的方法,将实验前后收集的实验数据录入SPSS,通过实验前后测词汇成绩的对比分析,同时结合问卷调查,得出实验结论。实验结果显示:第一、角色扮演的词汇教学能有效地提高学生的英语词汇水平。第二、在采用角色扮演的英语词汇课堂中,学生对学习英语词汇的兴趣越来越浓厚,最重要的是,学生对词汇的运用能力得到加强。研究结果证明,把角色扮演应用于初中英语词汇教学对学生的词汇学习有一定帮助。该研究对于英语词汇教学具有一定的教学启示,文章最后指明了研究的不足,为进一步研究提供了方向。
[Abstract]:English vocabulary is the basis of English communication. In recent years, people are more and more aware of the importance of vocabulary in English teaching. However, there are still many problems in vocabulary teaching because of the tight time and heavy tasks. At the same time, the junior middle school students also have some confusion about vocabulary learning. Therefore, frontline educators are constantly exploring new teaching methods to help students master vocabulary better. As a common teaching method, role-playing plays an important role in English teaching. Therefore, this paper is based on context theory and cooperative learning theory. The purpose of this study is to explore the impact of role play on junior high school students' English vocabulary learning. Based on this, two research questions are raised: (1) whether role-playing vocabulary teaching can effectively improve students' English vocabulary level? (2) how does role-playing vocabulary teaching affect students' English vocabulary learning? A 14-week experimental study was conducted in a junior high school in Heyuan City, Guangdong Province, from mid September to the end of December 2016. The subjects of this study are two parallel classes in Grade one, one of which is selected as experimental class and the other as control class. The experimental class adopts role-playing vocabulary teaching, while the control class adopts conventional vocabulary teaching. The research tools of this teaching experiment include English vocabulary test and questionnaire. The data collected before and after the experiment were recorded in SPSS.Through the comparative analysis of vocabulary scores before and after the experiment and the questionnaire survey, the experimental conclusions were obtained. The experimental results show that: first, role-playing vocabulary teaching can effectively improve students' English vocabulary proficiency. Secondly, in the role-playing English vocabulary classroom, students' interest in learning English vocabulary is increasing, and the most important thing is that students' ability to use English vocabulary is strengthened. The results show that the application of role-playing in junior high school English vocabulary teaching is helpful to students' vocabulary learning. This study has some implications for English vocabulary teaching. At last, the paper points out the deficiency of the research and provides a direction for further study.
