转基因科技翻译项目实践报告

【摘要】：本翻译实践项目取材于美国Earth Open Source最新发布的转基因报告GMO Myth and Truths,并选取其中一个章节进行翻译研究。GMOMyth and Truths是迄今为止关于转基因食品问题研究、综述最充分的报告。随着现代生物技术的发展,转基因已经进入人类的生活,并产生日益深刻的影响。但同时,“转基因”这个词汇在全球也承受着无尽争议,转基因产品对现实生活的影响仍然存在诸多疑问。因此,将许多转基因领域的前沿信息翻译成中文,供国内学者与普通大众学习借鉴就势在必行。在这里,作者通过翻译与分析,着重探讨转基因技术英译中的方法与策略。报告的第一部分介绍翻译报告的项目背景,从科技与翻译的角度对该翻译项目的意义与目标进行阐述。第二部分介绍转基因的概念,探讨生物科技文本的特点,继而提出翻译中的总体策略。第三部分介绍功能对等原则。作者将“功能对等”应用于科技文本的翻译,同时从译文中选取经典例句进行分析,提出解决方法。第四部分为总结篇,指出转基因等生物科技文本的翻译原则是译文与原文达到最相近的效果,即功能对等。功能对等原则适用于转基因等生物科技类文本的翻译,对科技文本的翻译具有实际指导作用。
[Abstract]:This translation practice project is based on GMO Myth and Truths, the latest transgenic report published by Earth Open Source in the United States, and selects one of the chapters for translation research. GMOMyth and Truths is the most comprehensive report on GM food issues so far. With the development of modern biotechnology, transgenic has entered human life, and has a profound impact. But at the same time, the word "genetically modified" has been the subject of endless controversy around the world, and there are still many questions about the impact of GM products on real life. Therefore, it is imperative for domestic scholars and the general public to learn from the translation of many frontier information in the field of GM into Chinese. Through translation and analysis, the author focuses on the methods and strategies in the translation of transgenic technology. The first part of the report introduces the project background of the translation report and expounds the significance and goal of the translation project from the point of view of science and technology and translation. The second part introduces the concept of transgenic, discusses the characteristics of biotechnology texts, and then puts forward the overall strategy in translation. The third part introduces the principle of functional equivalence. The author applies functional equivalence to the translation of scientific and technological texts. The fourth part is a summary, pointing out that the translation principle of biotech texts such as transgenic text is that the translation and the original text achieve the most similar effect, that is, functional equivalence. The principle of functional equivalence is applicable to the translation of biological and technological texts, such as transgenic, and has practical guiding effect on the translation of scientific and technological texts.
