目的论视角下的《北美的中国外销瓷》（节选）英译中图释翻译报告

【摘要】：中国古外销瓷闻名于世。作为人类文明不可或缺的一部分,陶瓷拥有很高的价值,并能够为人们了解当时的科技,艺术以及其他方面提供一个直接的方式。《北美的中国外销瓷》一书的作者是北美的一位古外销瓷研究的专家。本书收录的四百多幅照片,其中一些照片从未被披露过。这一切都显示了本书的前所未有的价值。尽管有许多这类主题的书被翻译成中文,但对陶瓷图片释意翻译的研究却很少。在目的论的指导下,并基于使中国读者能够容易理解,欣赏和接受本书以及书中图片释意的这一目的之下,译者主要采用了直译,异译和其他翻译方法(包括零翻译和创译),进而使抽象的图片和文字能够直接将正确的意思传递给读者。在这个过程中,译者的作用将被充分的发挥出来。通过此次翻译,译者需要了解基本的陶瓷术语以及必须的中国传统文化,方能取得一个好的译文。翻译并不仅仅是将一种语言翻译成另一种语言,它还涉及了两种文化之间的互相融合和交流借鉴。最后,希望本文能够为以后的译者提供一些借鉴。
[Abstract]:Chinese ancient exported porcelain is famous all over the world. As an integral part of human civilization, ceramics is of great value and can provide people with an understanding of the science and technology of the time. Art, among other things, provides a direct way. The author of the book "China exported porcelain in North America" is an expert in the study of ancient exported porcelain in North America. The book contains more than 400 photos, some of which have never been disclosed. All this shows the unprecedented value of the book. Although many books on these topics have been translated into Chinese, little research has been done on the interpretation of ceramic pictures. Under the guidance of Skopos theory and for the purpose of making it easy for Chinese readers to understand, appreciate and accept this book and the interpretation of pictures in the book, the translator mainly adopts literal translation. Translation and other translation methods (including zero translation and creative translation) enable abstract pictures and words to convey the correct meaning directly to the reader. In this process, the translator's role will be fully played out. Through this translation, the translator needs to understand the basic ceramic terminology and the necessary Chinese traditional culture in order to obtain a good translation. Translation is not only the translation of one language into another, but also the fusion and communication between the two cultures. Finally, I hope this paper can provide some reference for future translators.
