概念隐喻视角下莎剧的谚语及其汉译研究

【摘要】：谚语作为重要的文化现象和语言现象一直以来都得到国内外学者的广泛关注。然而现有的研究大多从传统语言学的角度出发,探讨个别谚语的理解和翻译,对其蕴涵的文化背景和所反映的文化模式缺乏深入的分析。此外,有关谚语的对比分析,即对来自不同语言中的谚语进行的比较研究更是少见。因此,从概念隐喻角度对莎剧中的谚语进行系统的研究,具有重要意义。本研究以四大悲剧和喜剧为基本的语料来源,分别对其谚语的隐喻认知,及其汉译两方面进行分析。首先,本文对谚语的定义进行了梳理,对莎剧中的谚语进行了分类。它们并不仅仅是语言问题或词汇问题,更重要的是它们来源于我们对世界的认识。因此,莎剧中的谚语作为一种特殊的语言现象,它一样拥有隐喻的认知机制。本文对莎剧谚语的隐喻认知、隐喻类型及其语义认知几个方面进行认知分析,发现概念隐喻有助于从不同文化角度认识谚语所体现的文化内涵,从深层次欣赏其无穷的魅力和艺术感染力。其次,本文从映射对等翻译和偏移映射等效翻译两个方面对朱生豪等五位译者的莎剧谚语翻译进行对比分析,发现由于人类对这种体验存在很大程度上的相似性,所以出现认知对等的隐喻表达方式是不可避免的。对于同一抽象事物的理解,人们常常选择相同的喻体视角。这一类隐喻,译者可根据原文和译文读者相同的心理认知机制,实现映射对等翻译。对于那些译文读者不了解的原文文化意象,映射对等翻译加上补充解释是行不通的,偏移等效翻译相反却更便于读者迅速有效地理解,它既保留了原文信息,又体现了美学价值,同时也利于英汉语言文化的交流。
[Abstract]:As an important cultural phenomenon and language phenomenon, proverbs have always received extensive attention from scholars both at home and abroad. However, most of the existing studies are mainly from the perspective of traditional linguistics to explore the understanding and translation of individual proverbs, and the lack of in-depth analysis of its cultural background and cultural models. Comparative analysis, that is, the comparative study of proverbs from different languages is more rare. Therefore, it is of great significance to systematically study the proverbs in Shakespeare from the perspective of conceptual metaphor. This study takes the four major tragedies and comedies as the basic source of language material, and analyzes the metaphorical cognition of the proverbs and the two aspects of Chinese translation respectively. First, this article combs the proverbs and classifies the proverbs in Shakespeare's plays. They are not only language and vocabulary problems, but more importantly, they come from our understanding of the world. Therefore, the proverbs in Shakespeare as a special language phenomenon, it has the cognitive mechanism of metaphor. This article is a proverb of Shakespeare's proverbs. The cognitive analysis of metaphorical cognition, metaphorical type and semantic cognition shows that conceptual metaphor helps to understand the cultural connotations of proverbs from different cultural angles, and appreciates its infinite charm and artistic appeal from a deep level. Secondly, this article from the two aspects of the mapping to the equivalent translation and the equivalent translation of the offset mapping. The translation of Shakespeare's proverbs by the five translators, such as Sheng Hao, has been compared and analyzed. It is found that because of the great similarity of human beings to this experience, it is inevitable that the metaphorical expression of cognitive equivalence is inevitable. The same translations are realized by the same psychological cognitive mechanism of the original and the translation readers. For the original cultural images that the readers do not understand, the mapping of the equivalent translation and the complementary interpretation is not feasible. The offset equivalent translation is more convenient for the reader to understand quickly and effectively. It not only preserves the original information, but also embodies the aesthetic value. At the same time, it is also beneficial to the communication of English and Chinese language and culture.
