高职学生英语阅读焦虑的调查研究

【摘要】：阅读作为四项基本技能之一,在英语学习的过程中起着重要作用。对高职学生而言,阅读是输入语言文化知识的重要途径,并且阅读成绩在英语考试中占据大幅比例。因此,提高阅读水平是非常紧迫的任务。国内外研究普遍表明,焦虑对英语阅读有着重要的影响,然而国内对高职生英语阅读焦虑状态的研究却并不多见。本研究以人本主义心理学和克拉申的情感过滤假说为理论依据,以桂林旅游学院旅游管理专业2016级100名新生为调查对象,运用问卷调查和个人访谈等形式来分析高职学生英语阅读焦虑的状况,探究焦虑的来源,并提出相应的解决措施。本研究旨在探讨三个问题:1)高职学生英语阅读焦虑的总体情况如何?2)男生组和女生组的阅读焦虑状况是怎样的?3)高职学生英语阅读焦虑的来源是什么?研究表明:高职学生存在比较严重的阅读焦虑;男生的焦虑程度比女生高;焦虑来源主要是缺乏正确的阅读态度、缺乏文化背景知识、缺乏扎实的语言基础知识。据此,本文提出了一些教学建议,教师应该帮助学生建立积极的阅读态度、加强文化背景知识的介绍、加强学生语言基本功的训练。本研究的局限在于调查样本较少和调查工具单一。在未来的研究中,应将调查对象的数量及范围扩大,并采用个案研究、课堂观察等多元化的调查方法来弥补现阶段调查方式的不足。
[Abstract]:As one of the four basic skills, reading plays an important role in English learning. For higher vocational students, reading is an important way to input knowledge of language and culture, and reading scores account for a large proportion in English examinations. Therefore, improving the reading level is a very urgent task. Domestic and foreign studies generally show that anxiety plays an important role in English reading. However, there are few studies on English reading anxiety among vocational college students in China. Based on humanistic psychology and Krashen's emotional filtering hypothesis, this study investigated 2016 freshmen majoring in tourism management in Guilin Tourism College. By means of questionnaire survey and personal interview, this paper analyzes the situation of English reading anxiety of vocational college students, probes into the source of anxiety, and puts forward corresponding measures to solve it. The purpose of this study is to explore three questions: 1) what is the general situation of English reading anxiety among vocational college students? (2) what is the reading anxiety of boys and girls? (3) what are the sources of English reading anxiety among vocational college students? The study shows that there is serious reading anxiety in higher vocational students; the degree of anxiety of boys is higher than that of girls; the main source of anxiety lies in the lack of correct reading attitude, lack of cultural background knowledge and lack of solid basic knowledge of language. On the basis of this, this paper puts forward some teaching suggestions: teachers should help students to establish positive reading attitude, strengthen the introduction of cultural background knowledge, and strengthen the training of students' basic language skills. The limitation of this study is that the sample is less and the tool is single. In the future research, we should expand the number and scope of the investigation objects, and adopt a variety of investigation methods such as case study and classroom observation to make up for the deficiency of the present investigation method.
