【摘要】：本文是一篇翻译项目报告,原文为迈克尔·罗斯所写的《大学之外:论博雅教育的重要性》一书第二章。第二章围绕实用主义展开,大体介绍布克·华盛顿、杜波依斯、简·亚当斯和威廉·詹姆斯等教育家的教育经历及其主要思想。对于其中每个教育家的评价,作者的观点都不失客观公道。通过阅读本章节,读者可以对美国的高等教育有一个大致了解。在本翻译报告中,通过彰显美国高等教育的长处,意在促进中国相关方面的发展,同时也丰富译者的实践经验。本篇翻译报告分为五个章节。第一章介绍项目背景,突出项目意义。第二章主要讲了作者的基本信息和书的基本内容。第三章介绍翻译实践中的指导理论和对原文本的分析。第四章具体描述翻译中出现的难点以及相应的翻译方法。最后一章总结整个翻译项目,表达译者的翻译感悟和待解决的问题。
[Abstract]:This article is a report of the translation project, which is written by Michael Ross, "outside the University: the importance of the education of Boya > second chapters." the second chapter focuses on pragmatism, giving a general introduction to the educational experiences and main ideas of Booker Washington, Dubois, Jan Adams and William James. By reading this chapter, readers can have a general understanding of American higher education. In this translation report, by showing the strengths of higher education in the United States, it is intended to promote the development of China's related aspects and enrich the practical experience of the translator. The first chapter introduces the background of the project and highlights the significance of the project. The second chapter mainly tells the basic information of the author and the basic contents of the book. The third chapter introduces the guiding theory and the analysis of the original text in the third chapter. The fourth chapter describes the difficulties and the corresponding translation methods in the translation. The last chapter sums up the whole translation. The translation project expresses the translator's understanding of translation and the problems to be solved.
