《解读敦煌：发现藏经洞》（节选）汉英翻译实践报告

【摘要】：作为一种软实力,文化成为衡量一个国家综合国力水平的标准之一。在我国,敦煌文化源远流长,博大精深,却在翻译过程中受到重重阻碍,翻译的质量和数量都不尽人意。因此,作者选取了《解读敦煌,发现藏经洞》一书中的第二章《百科全书式的文献》和第三章《盛世的绘画》。这两章通过介绍在藏经洞中发现的文献和绘画彰显出藏经洞的发现对于研究敦煌文化乃至中国文化的重要意义。作者想通过翻译让更多的人了解敦煌文化,同时敦煌文化的传播也有利于我国敦煌学更好的发展,从而提高我国的文化软实力。本报告共分为五部分,第一章涉及本报告的背景以及写本报告的目的和意义,第二章主要介绍翻译内容以及内容特点,第三章是对译前准备,翻译工具和质量控制的描述,第四章是案例分析,从词汇和句子层面进行分析,词汇方面主要是针对文化词和古代作品名称的翻译,句子方面主要是对长句和无主句的翻译。其中,文化词的翻译是重点和难点,作者采用了直译加注和意译的方式尽量保留中国元素,凸显中国文化特色。最后一章是结论部分,主要是通过翻译此书的收获和不足。作者通过对此书节选部分的翻译,进一步掌握了关于词汇和句子的翻译方法与技巧,但仍有一些问题有待解决,比如说作者缺乏翻译中国文化书籍的经验以及参考书籍相对匮乏,这些因素都对本书节选部分的翻译有一定的影响。
[Abstract]:As a kind of soft power, culture has become one of the standards to measure a country's comprehensive national strength. In our country, Dunhuang culture has a long history, extensive and profound, but in the process of translation many obstacles, translation quality and quantity are not satisfactory. Therefore, the author chooses the second chapter "encyclopedia literature" and the third chapter "painting of prosperous times" in interpreting Dunhuang. These two chapters show the significance of the discovery of Tibetan Classical Cave to the study of Dunhuang culture and even Chinese culture by introducing the literature and painting found in the Tibetan Classical Cave. The author wants to make more people understand Dunhuang culture through translation, and at the same time, the spread of Dunhuang culture is beneficial to the better development of Dunhuang study in our country, so as to improve the soft power of our country's culture. This report is divided into five parts. The first chapter deals with the background of the report and the purpose and significance of the report. The second chapter mainly introduces the content and characteristics of the translation, the third chapter is a description of pre-translation preparation, translation tools and quality control. The fourth chapter is a case study, which mainly deals with the translation of cultural words and the names of ancient works from the lexical and sentence levels, and the translation of long sentences and non-main sentences on the sentence side. Among them, the translation of cultural words is important and difficult. The author adopts literal translation and free translation to preserve Chinese elements and highlight Chinese cultural characteristics. The last chapter is the conclusion, mainly through the translation of the gains and shortcomings of the book. Through the translation of the excerpts of the book, the author further grasps the translation methods and techniques of vocabulary and sentences, but there are still some problems to be solved. For example, the author's lack of experience in translating Chinese cultural books and the relative lack of reference books have some influence on the translation of excerpts.
